They will be putting on a FREE concert at 6:30 pm in the HS Theater, and is something you don't want to miss out on! The concert will feature the Happy Jacks performing oldies through modern classics. Think of a real-live male-version of Pitch Perfect and you have the Happy Jacks. Please come out, support this fantastic group of performers, and pack the house to show the support DCC has for the performing arts. Sea Perch: The final DCC Sea Perch competition will be held on May 13 th at the AFA Natatorium near Clune Arena starting at 12:30 p.m. and ending at 3:45 p.m. 8 th Grade: Your Continuation Ceremony will be on May 23. There will be a dance after the ceremony in the HS Commons until 4:45 p.m. Mrs. McReynolds bridges class is sponsoring a charity event to support Soles 4 Souls. This non-profit organization distributes shoes worldwide to children and adults in poverty. Donations will be taken until Friday, May 19 th. Donate any new or slightly worn shoes. The bridges class at each level with the highest donation count will win a donut party. So donate, it s not too late for a chance for donuts! Engineering Summer Camp: For Current DCC 6 th, 7 th and 8 th graders. Date May 30 thru June 2, 8:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m. The cost is $75 and the application deadline is May 20. Applications can be picked up at the front office, HS classrooms 319, 323, or with Mr. Prater in room 317. Space is limited. There is only 10 spots left, so hurry and sign up! If you don t return a book, you are responsible for paying the replacement cost. Fall 2017 Semester Attendance Waivers: - Please note that students must meet certain requirements to qualify for the Attendance Waiver. - Pick up Attendance Waiver contract from Ms. Gonzalez in Counseling Center, Ms. Teeples in the HS Administration Office, or on the DCC HS website under forms. - All of the Attendance Waiver contract must be initialed and signed by student and parents when turned in. We cannot accept approvals via the phone. - Deadline for all request is Monday, May 22, 2017 by 3:00 p.m.

- Students who turn in paperwork after May 22, 2017 will attend study hall until they are approved for the Attendance Waiver. - Attendance Waivers must be turned in to the Admin.
