ABOUT VANCOUVER COMMUNITY COLLEGE VCC serves a diverse urban community by providing excellent programs and services that prepare learners for ongoing education, direct entry into employment, career advancement and greater participation in the community. Walk into any fine hotel, award-winning kitchen, bakery, music studio, auto-shop, or hospital in Vancouver and you re sure to meet a talented and successful VCC grad. Our commitment to the community, in combination with advanced skills training, ensures our students are well positioned to break new ground in their chosen fields after graduation. With over 15,000 students annually, including a growing number of International and Indigenous learners, VCC is uniquely positioned to offer both academic and applied career programming and skills training. We have been at the heart of education in Greater Vancouver for over 50 years and we look forward to continuing to produce stellar, employment-ready grads over the next half century and beyond. VCC understands the challenges and opportunities within B.C. s employment sector. Our province faces an impending talent shortfall where the amount of jobs will exceed the number of people with appropriate skills or training. Our efforts to address this skills gap begin with innovation and collaboration within the post-secondary system and industry. Understanding that students want choices when it comes to education, we have partnered with BCIT, UBC and SFU to open doors, remove barriers that exist between institutions, and explore new methods of program development. We have also partnered with Samsung, Cactus Club Cafe and many other corporations to provide students with in-demand skills training. Bringing together people from different backgrounds and cultures, we strive to create new opportunities, build community, and offer enriched and diverse educational experiences. VCC s over 120 programs include bachelor s degrees, diplomas, certificates and apprenticeships. With three campuses located on Broadway, in Downtown Vancouver and on Annacis Island, students can choose from hands-on instruction in culinary or baking arts, business, design, health sciences, hospitality, transportation trades and music. VCC graduates are in demand and are employees of choice.
