No eccentricities of wearing head or facial hair The hair must complement complexion tone Unprofessional color changes are prohibited Fingernails will be kept clean and neatly trimmed PIERCINGS ARE NOT AUTHORIZED in uniform or while in MCJROTC buildings CELL PHONES ARE NOT AUTHORIZED (Silent/Off)
Male cadets will be well groomed at all times and will abide by the following: Hair will be neat and closely trimmed. The hair may be clipped at the edges of the sides and back Will be evenly graduated from ZERO length at the hairline in the lower portion of the head Will not be over 3 INCHES in length on the upper portion of the head
Back and sides of the head below the hairline will be shaved to remove body hair Blocked hair and Bowl or Mohawk haircuts are NOT authorized Sideburns will not extend below the top of the ear orifice Hair will be styled so as not to interfere with the proper wear of uniform headgear Hair which protrudes from beneath properly worn headgear in an unsightly manner is considered excessive, regardless of length
No male cadet will be required to have his hair clipped to the scalp; however, this does not preclude him from doing so if he so desires
The face will be clean-shaven AT ALL TIMES, except that a mustache may be worn If worn, mustache will be neatly trimmed The individual length of the mustache hair fully extended must not exceed ½ inch
Female Cadets will be well groomed at all times and when in uniform will abide by the following: Hair may touch the collar, but will not fall below the collar's lower edge Hair that would fall naturally below the collar's lower edge will be neatly and inconspicuously fastened or pinned During PT periods in which physical training clothing is worn, hair will be allowed to fall naturally, without being fastened or pinned
Hair will be styled so as not to interfere with the proper wear of the uniform head gear. All headgear will fit snugly and comfortably around the largest part of the head without excessive gaps Hairstyles which do not allow the headgear to be worn in this manner is prohibited
Daily Classroom Routine (All Classes): Cadets will come to class on time and be prepared for the day's activities Courtesy towards teachers, fellow students, and school officials is mandatory CHEATING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED Cheating includes any form of deceit while reciting answers, during practical work, quizzes, or exams When entering the MCJROTC building, remain in hallway until the final bell has rung males will remove piercings prior to entering FEMALE CADETS WILL ENTER FIRST and all Cadets will fall into formation Bring notebooks, and pen or pencil to every class The class will remain at the Position of Attention while roll call is called When your name is called, respond with HERE, SIR
Food, Drink, or Gum is NOT allowed in the classroom area unless authorized by the Instructors Cadets must RAISE THEIR HANDS to be recognized Cadets will use Sir or Ma am when addressing or answering Instructors, Teachers or Faculty When asking for permission or assistance, say Please Do not interrupt the Instructor s conversation. Wait for acknowledgment and then say, Excuse Me, Sir When a request is granted, say Thank You When the end of class bell rings, the Instructor will call the class leader to dismiss the class. The class leader will call the class to Attention and give the command to Dismiss
Be sure to take all personal items and trash when dismissed All Head Calls (Restroom breaks) will be made before or after class Cadets are highly encouraged to attend all MCJROTC functions. This includes extracurricular activities and special events
