Announcements Senior Adult Ministry Senior adults are welcome to attend the weekly activity on Tuesday, August 7 th at 10:00 a.m. OVBC will host a presentation by McGill Pettus Medicaid Made Clear in the Fellowship Hall. Please contact Sis. Charmaine Henderson for details. Saved Anointed Leaders of Truth (S.A.L.T.) Mime Ministry Saved Anointed Leaders of Truth (S.A.L.T.) will practice on Tuesday, August 7 th at 7:00 p.m. There will be a parent meeting on Thursday, August 9 th at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall (no practice). All team members and their parents are asked to attend. Please contact Bro. Mardeeb Easterly for details. Get Fit Fellowship We are excited about our new line dance fellowship led by our very own Bro. Mardeeb Easterly! Our first meeting will be held on Thursday, August 16 th at 7:00 p.m. This is an intergenerational fellowship, and all are invited to attend. Convention News The TBMEC Eastern Regional Women's Conference will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at the New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Chattanooga. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. (continental breakfast served) and the conference is from 9:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. All women are encouraged to attend. Rev. Margaret Mack is our Eastern, Regional Women's Vice- President. Annual Missions Day The Missions ministry will host our Annual Missions Day worship service on Sunday, August 19 th at 11:00 a.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Tanya Tolbert, Foster Chapel Baptist Church. Please plan to join us as we learn more about Missions and the impact we are having locally and internationally.

Registration for Middle School Camp Grades ages 6 th -8 th will be going to Doe River located in Hampton, Tennessee on August 24 th - 26 th. The deadline to register for camp is August 15 th. No late registrations will be accepted. We also need adults to serve as volunteers. For more information, please see Sis. Robin. Fourth Pastoral Anniversary for Pastor Hammond We are excited to announce the Fourth Pastoral Anniversary for Pastor Hammond and family on Sunday, August 26 th at 11:00 a.m. This is a time when we pause to honor our Pastor and family for their faithful care of the membership and their spiritual guidance and leadership. Please mark your calendars now and invite your family and friends! More information is forthcoming. Pathfinders Ministry Pathfinders Ministry will begin on September 11, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. All middle school students are invited to join us. For more information, please see Sis. Robin. OVBC Family Picnic Oak Valley Family, it s time to have some fun and get to know your brothers and sisters in Christ. So, mark your calendar for September 23 rd at Clark Park. Please plan to attend and invite your family and friends for a day of food, fellowship, and fun! More information is forthcoming. All ministry leaders please send your planned activities for the picnic to Sis. Earnestine Sloan at roresloan@att.net. Girls Gifted Workshop The Family Life and Education Ministries will host a workshop on Saturday, September 29th at 9:00 a.m. for women and female teens. The workshop will be conducted by a team of women who live and work in Chattanooga. It is designed to strengthen women and female teens, spiritually, emotionally, and educationally. It will address situations that adversely affect our standard of living and moral behaviors. Additionally, they are asking prayer warriors to pray diligently for this workshop every day at 12 noon. A registration form is in the vestibule.

Prayer Meeting Saturday Mornings at 7:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to continue participating in our Saturday Morning Prayer Meetings at 7:30 a.m. We gather in the Sanctuary and then dismiss to personal prayer areas as guided by the Spirit. Prayer Line Members who are unable to join us at the church are invited to join us by prayer line on Saturdays at 8:15 a.m. To participate, please call 712-432-8399. When prompted, the access code is 746416. Intercessory Prayer Intercessory Prayer meeting is held each Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary.
