This is in addition to the online exam fee. CEU s: 11 - Provided Online by INA-CE (0413-8019). CEU s are not provided by Adventist Health and Rideout. ALL MANDATORY STAFF ARE PRE-REGISTERED ACCORDING TO NRP EXPIRATION MONTH This course, based on American Heart Association and American Academy of Pediatrics standards, is intended for persons whose job includes resuscitation of, or assisting with resuscitation of, a newborn infant in the hospital settings where newborn care is typically provided, e.g., delivery room, newborn nursery, or neonatal intensive care unit. STUDY MATERIALS: It is mandatory that staff pick up textbook and online instructions from Hospital Education or Hospital Administration (former gift shop). There is a fee for the online course paid for by the employee. Textbook must be returned upon completion of skills testing. The only accepted website for taking NRP Online exam is http://www.healthstream.com/hlc/aap The online exam cannot be taken more 30 days prior to hands-on skills class. PLEASE follow the instructions you receive with your book. The online exam and registration must be completed no later 5 days prior to class date. YOU MUST SELF REGISTER FOR THE SKILLS EVENT THROUGH HEALTHSTREAM PRIOR TO YOUR CLASS DATE If you have any issues completing the online exam you must contact Healthstream Hospital Education is unable to assist with this process. Your Healtstream customer service number is 800-433-9016 x 4798 NRP ONLINE EXAM: The NRP provider exam has 50 questions divided into 2 sections (25 questions each). The number of questions on each topic reflects the scope of material covered in the textbook. All learners are required to take the entire exam. You have unlimited attempts to pass each section of the exam and will see the questions you missed. Online Exam Completion Certificate must be brought to Practice/Skills Testing Session date. NRP ESim CASES: The NRP ESim cases are interactive neonatal resuscitation simulation exercises. This exciting technology gives you an opportunity to practice the steps in the NRP Flow Diagram in a virtual environment. The ESim cases must be completed in order to register for the event, however, are not graded. ALL STAFF attendees and instructors are expected to follow the dress code policy when attending or instructing a class.
