The Man and Woman of the Year Awards are given to recognize a Telfair County Man and Woman for their generosity of spirit and volunteerism and long-term community support and dedication. The winner of each category will be announced at the 2014 Annual Telfair County Chamber Banquet which will be held on February 27, 2014. 2013 Telfair County Christmas Parade Friday, December 6, 2013 6:00 p.m. Parade Entry Forms are now available. Parade Theme: Inspirational Christmas Rules & Entry Forms can be obtained from: 9 East Oak St. ~ McRae, GA Downloaded from web: Deadline to enter November 27, 2013 This year s parade will be telecasted by WSST- TV, Cordele, GA and aired in over 400,000 households! This telecast is made possible by the following sponsors: Little Ocmulgee State Park & Lodge (Helena, GA) The Merchants & Citizens Bank (McRae, GA) World Outreach Church (McRae, GA) This year s parade theme will be Inspirational Christmas Parade begins promptly at 6:00 p.m. The parade route will begin on Eighth St. in Helena, GA and travels down Oak St. in McRae, GA ending at the Piggly Wiggly. The Chamber invites businesses, industries, churches, civic organizations and individuals to place an entry in the parade (floats, cars/trucks, golf carts, walkers, etc.) Floats only will be judged and trophies awarded for 1 st and 2 nd place. Floats will be judged on: a) Overall appearance b) Special effects c) Creativity/Workmanship d) Use of theme: Inspirational Christmas All entries must pay an entry fee: Commercial $10.00 Non-Commercial $ 5.00 This parade takes place after dark, so as a safety precaution, CANDY THROWING will not be allowed during the parade. Also remember, no entry is allowed to have a live Santa Claus as Santa will be riding on the fire truck. Business by Business
