Beta Lambda Newsletter March 2019 Message from the President March 11, 2019 Dear Beta Lambda Sisters, Our March meeting is less than 24 hours from now yes, I am cutting it close. (To be truthful, my husband and I were suddenly invited to a day date Saturday with our daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter. We went to the Hoover Library that morning to make How to Train a Dragon crafts and check out books, ate lunch at Chick-fil-A, and then went to the flicks to see How to Train Your Dragon 3. Yep, I know I should have been finishing the newsletter. Please forgive my tardiness!) We are meeting on a weekday afternoon/evening for the second time this year to accommodate members who are not able to come on Saturday. It is going to be picture-perfect weather (no rain and 70 degrees). With day light savings time, you can be home before it is dark! Invitations were mailed to about 50 former Beta Lambda members to attend our meeting this month. For more information, read the Reunion article in this newsletter. Look for another newsletter article about the Alabama State Organization Convention attended by five of our chapter members. To quote President Donna s description of the convention, WOW!!! And HAPPY, HAPPY 59th BIRTHDAY to our own Beta Lambda chapter! In your service, Brenda Johnson Beta Lambda President

Do you know who has the minutes from 1990 until now? If you have held the office of Recording Secretary since 1990, please let Brenda Johnson know the whereabouts of your minutes, please. Beta Lambda Member! Pat Long is in Texas for grand baby Benjamin's dedication and will miss our March meeting. (Both grandsons shown in picture.)
