Publishing staffing data for nursing, midwifery and care staff Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is committed to publishing staffing data for nursing, midwifery and care staff; this is underpinned by our commitment to both delivering high quality care for our patients and the need to improve transparency. "Hard Truths" sets out the commitment by the NHS to publish this data and to deliver the expectations set out in The National Quality Board guidance of November 2013. Reported figures here include ward-based supervisory ward managers, temporary staff and the contribution of specialist or other and un staff. The figures also reflect operational requirements for staff to be drafted into wards or moved from wards or units with lower than expected demand for nursing care to support wards with a higher than expected demand for nursing care. Trust staffing reports and links to other quality programmes are available here on the Trust s dedicated staffing page: http://www.pat.nhs.uk/quality-and-performance/safer-staffing.htm Kimberley Salmon-Jamieson Deputy Chief Nurse June 2015
