Statement of Interest: I have been a resident of Loudoun County for 15 years, and have lived in Leesburg for 12 years. Before moving to Loudoun County, my family relocated several times, and in each new home I found that the local library system provided information and resources that helped us to quickly integrate into the community. I believe that in addition to the many traditional functions that libraries perform, Loudoun County's outstanding library system serves to build and strengthen our community, and I enjoy being of service to the library system. My husband and I have three children who have attended Loudoun County Public Schools, with my youngest son a current student at Smarts Mill Middle School. I practice law in Leesburg, with a focus on corporate and transactional work. Early in my career, I practiced in Western New York where, in addition to private practice, I was an Assistant County Attorney. In representing the Wyoming County Hospital, Building Department and Health Department, I became generally familiar with County-level government processes and budgeting. I have previously supported the Rust Library by serving as a director and officer of the Rust Library Advisory Board (Director 2014-2016, Vice-Chairperson 2014-2016, and Treasurer 2014-2015). I have attended the September meeting of the Library Board of Trustees (September 21st) and, if I should be appointed to serve on the Board, I will prepare to make meaningful contributions to the Board's consideration of pending matters as soon as possible. Thank you for your consideration. Work Experience: THE TURNER LAW FIRM, P.C.
