SPORTS ACHIEVEMENTS Started playing Kho-Kho representing Sharadavilas High School, Mysore from the year 1966 and played for United Sports Club, Mysore from 1967 to 1977. Represented University of Mysore four times in Kho-Kho during 1971-72, 1972-73, 1974-75 and Captained the University of Mysore Kho-Kho Team during the year 1975-76. Twice Runners-Up in the All India Inter-University Kho-Kho Tournaments during 1974-75 and 1975-76. For the first time during the year 1974-75 Mysore University achieved this distinction. Selected to Represent the Karnataka State Kho-Kho team during 1975-76 but could not attend the National Championship due to Academic Reasons. Represented Mysore Division in Athletics, Kho-Kho and Kabaddi during 1972-73 and 1973-74 in the State Level Dasara Sports and Games Competitions. Qualified A Grade Referee of Kho-Kho Federation of India. Officiated in Five Senior Kho-Kho National Championships, Three Junior Kho-Kho National Championships and many All India Invitation Kho-Kho Tournaments held throughout the Country from 1976 to 1986. Introduced Physical Fitness Tests for University Teams Selection Trials from 2000-01(Men) 2010-11(Women) and University of Mysore is the first University in India to start this programme in order to maintain minimum standard of University Teams for Participation in the Inter-University Competitions. Responsible to conduct Referees Examinations for Schools and Colleges Physical Education Teachers / Directors, Sportspersons and public in Kho-Kho during 2008-09 and Athletics during 2011-12 and out this programme more than 200 persons benefited and became qualified technical officials in the respective activities.

A Novel Insurance Scheme which motivates Students Sportspersons to acquit well in the Inter University Competition to the tune of Rs. 2 Lakhs each. Responsible to Renovate University Swimming Pool by Laying new tiles in the year 1995-96 and develop lawn inside the Swimming Pool premises in the year 2010-11. Responsible to Enter into MoU with Karnataka State Cricket Association and University of Mysore for Uplifting and Developing of Mysore University Platinum Jubilee Cricket Stadium at Manasagangothri from 2001. Responsible to construct dormitory to accommodate 100 Sportspersons with the XI th plan UGC and University assistance of 35 lakhs. Responsible to install New Filter Medias at University Swimming Pool with UGC-UPE and University assistance of Rs. 75 lakhs. Responsible for Constructing Lions Club of Mysore Central and University Sports Complex through an MoU with Lions Club of Mysore Central and University of Mysore adjacent to the University Oval Ground during the year 2000-2001.
