A Note from Pastor Phillips: Thank you for coming to worship with us today. If you are a first-time visitor, I would sure like the opportunity to meet you and welcome you personally. Because I believe in a Sovereign God, I don t believe anything happens by chance. I believe you were brought here today for a purpose. I would love to help you discover that purpose, and to see if there is any way we as a church can bless and minister to you and your family. Each month, U.S. Military chaplains receive 27,500 requests for BibleSticks. As of May 1, of this year, 802,014 BibleSticks have been placed in the hands of our military who have requested them. If you are interested in providing one or more BibleSticks, please call Lauree in the church office, or place your gift in the offering plate with BIBLESTICKS in the memo area of your check. Each BibleStick costs $25. We will be collecting funds for BibleSticks until July 4. Our goal is $5,000, which would provide them for two full battalions! Last year, we gave $6,750!

Child Abuse Awareness Training On Tuesday, July 18, 2017, beginning at 5:30 p.m., a Child Abuse Awareness Training DVD seminar will be held in the Youth Center s Junior Church Area. This seminar is mandatory for all Preschool and Church employees, and ANYONE who works with children in any capacity -- Sunday School teachers/helpers, Wednesday night teachers/helpers, nursery workers, Junior Church helpers, VBS workers, Camp counselors, Youth workers, etc. (A child is defined as anyone from birth to 18 years old, unless in the military or married). We will provide dinner for all who attend the training. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m., and the training seminar will begin at 6:00 p.m. The DVD seminar will last approximately one hour, with a 25-question test to follow. All who pass the test will receive a certificate of completion. Child care will be provided for all who attend and register their children for care when RSVPing. All church members are invited to attend, even if you don t work directly with children, but please RSVP to bthomas@pvbchurch.com by July 11, to assure we prepare enough food.
