Wildlife Sanctuary Events ANIMAL STORIES FOR PRESCHOOLERS Mondays --> September - April 10 a.m. FREE Hollow Tree exhibit on the main floor of the Nature Center CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING SOUP AND SKI December 19 11:30-1 p.m. Come with your cross country skis and explore our trails with a naturalist. Warm up with a bowl of soup afterwards! If snow conditions are not good for skiing, we will walk at a brisk pace instead. NIGHT SKIING TBD - Scheduled in January and February SKI AND TEA TBD - Scheduled in January and February Enjoy a hot beverage and cookies after skiing. DAILY SKIING Groomed trails open daily from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Skis not provided FAMILY FROSTY FUN NIGHT February 2 5-8 p.m. Live animal friends, night walks, horse drawn wagon rides, bonfire and s mores, crafts, live folk music and more! per car load SNOWSHOE HIKES TBD - Scheduled in January and February Snowshoe hikes for ages five and older. Snowshoes are provided or you re welcome to bring your own. Participants should wear flat-bottomed boots and come dressed to be outside for about an hour. Space is limited. First come, first served. FANTASTIC BEASTS OF THE WLS December 22 1-2:30 p.m. Come out this December to see and learn about some amazing animals at the Sanctuary with a bit of a "Fantastic" spin. SKATING/HOCKEY RINKS Rinks providing warming shelters are: Colburn, Edison, Perkins (skate rentals available), Beaver Dam, and Wilder Rinks without warming shelters: Astor, Red Smith, Atkinson, Fritsch, Kennedy, McAuliffe, John Muir Hours: Monday - Friday 4-8 p.m., Saturday & Sunday 12-8 p.m. Call 920.448.3365 about scheduling a party at Perkins Ice Rink CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING Baird Creek, Wildlife Sanctuary, Colburn Park, Perkins Park, He-Nis-Ra Park, Preble Park, Fritsch Park, McAuliffe Park TRIANGLE HILL Downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding and inner-tubing, heated chalet and concessions Hours: Monday - Friday 4:30-8 p.m., Saturday & Sunday 11:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. (Tow rope closes at 7:45 p.m.) Daily lift ticket: $3.50 (all ages), Tube Rental: $2.50 (limited supply) Call 920-391-3670 for snow conditions 8
