2019-2020 Urban League of Nebraska & Metropolitan Community College Scholarship FOR STUDENTS WANTING TO ATTEND METROPOLITAN COMMUNITY COLLEGE. The Urban League of Nebraska Scholarship is awarded to assist graduating high school seniors in pursuit of post-secondary education and can only be used to attend Metropolitan Community College. To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria: 1. Be a current resident of Nebraska. 2. Have a current cumulative G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher. 3. Have completed at least 10 hours of documented community involvement. 4. Have taken the A.C.T. or S.A.T. Students must submit the following materials bound in a clear plastic report cover (stapled packets will not be accepted): 1. Typed application. 2. Cover page with color picture attached. 3. Official copy of high school transcripts or G.E.D. (General Education Diploma). 4. Two (2) letters of recommendations from persons attesting to your qualifications and motivation for attending college. Family members and relatives cannot submit letters of recommendation on the student s behalf. 5. Typed essay stating your goals, ambitions and the reasons you should receive a scholarship. (Essays must be no less than 250 words and no more than 500 words in length.) 6. Resume 7. Additional information may be requested by the selection committee.
