A meeting of the Project Sanctioning Committee (PSC) for UJJAWALA - a comprehensive scheme to combat trafficking was held on 08.12.2010 at 11.00 A.M. in Room No. 309, B Wing, Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi. The PSC considered proposals received from the Non- Governmental Organizations, duly recommended by the State Governments. A list of participants is enclosed at Annex-I. 2. In all, 34 proposals from 3 States of, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh were considered by the Project Sanctioning Committee. Of these the Committee approved 11 proposals, deferred 3 and rejected 20 proposals as per details given below: 10.11.2010 S. In respect of cases approved, the amount sanctioned will be as per the schematic norms. 4. It was also decided that the State Government should:-
(i) (ii) (iii) Periodically review the functioning and performance of all Ujjawala projects being implemented in the State and inform MWCD of the outcome of such review. Ensure that all organizations which are sanctioned Rehabilitation and Re-integration Homes, send the photographs of the facilities created and photo identities of all the beneficiaries in such Homes.
