The Beavers claimed the Conference s 29th NCAA College World Series title, nearly triple the amount of all other conferences. Additionally, with WASHINGTON s first-ever program appearance in the 2018 CWS, all 11 league programs have reached at least one CWS. Opening day for the 2019 Pac- 12 Baseball campaign features all 11 league teams in action on Friday, Feb. 15, leading off a 35-game schedule for the first weekend of the Conference s 103rd season. Returning to the diamond are a handful of big names that garnered big awards last season, including Baseball America Freshman of the Year OSU s Kevin Abel, Perfect Game Freshman of the Year ARIZO- NA STATE s Spencer Torkelson and Golden Spikes Award winner CALIFORNIA s Andrew Vaughn. Vaughn is the eighth Pac-12 student-athlete to be honored as the best amateur baseball player in the country by USA Baseball. USA Today s Coaches preseason Poll has three Pac-12 teams ranked, with Oregon State, UCLA and Stanford all in the top 10. Oregon State lead the way at the fifth spot, followed by UCLA at seventh and Stanford is ninth. The Beavers, Bruins and Cardinal were also ranked in the top 12 in Baseball America, D1Baseball, NC- BWA and Collegiate Baseball s preseason polls. The Pac-12 coaches similarly have high hopes for UCLA, Stanford and Oregon State. UCLA was chosen to win the Pac-12 title for the third time in program history, Stanford was chosen second for the third-consecutive year and OSU was selected to finish third. 1

In the USA Today Coaches Preseason Poll, Oregon State takes the fifth spot, UCLA ranks seventh and Stanford lands at ninth. Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon and Washington received votes in the poll. STAR POWER: The Pac-12 has 20 total preseason All-America selections from seven different schools. Six student-athletes were named to all five preseason All-America lists and 2018 Golden Spikes Award winner Cal s Andrew Vaughn, 2018 CWS Most Outstanding Player OSU s Adley Rutschman and All-Pac-12 selection UCLA s Chase Strumpf were named to the first team by all five outlets. Rutschman was also tabbed the Projected Player of the Year by Collegiate Baseball. Baseball America highlighted several league student-athletes as All-American Best Tools, with Vaughn earning best hitter, Arizona State s Spencer Torkelson selected as the best power hitter and Rutschman tabbed as the best defensive catcher. GOLDEN SPIKES: The Pac-12 is home to eight Golden Spikes Award winners after Andrew Vaughn claimed the award last season, tying the ACC and SEC for most of any conference. This year, ten student-athletes from seven different league schools were named to the preseason Watch List, including Vaughn. He is just one of four Golden Spikes Award recipients all-time to return to school after winning the award. Oregon State, UCLA and Stanford each boast a pair of student-athletes on the prestigious list. The preseason watch list features 55 of the nation s top amateur players. The 42nd Golden Spikes Award will be presented in partnership with the Rod Dedeaux Foundation on June 14, 2019. STOPPER OF THE YEAR: The Pac-12 has seven student-athletes from five different Pac-12 schools on the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Stopper of the Year Preseason Watch List, the second-most selections of any conference. The NCBWA presents the Stopper of the Year Award to the top relief pitcher in Division I baseball for the 15th straight year at the College World Series on Saturday, June 15, 2019. MLB DRAFT: 49 Pac-12 student-athletes were selected in the 2018 MLB Draft with all 11 programs having at least one player drafted. Arizona led the Conference with eight picks followed by Oregon State with six. The 49 total selections from the Conference of Champions were the third-most of any league. Oregon State second baseman Nick Madrigal was first off the board with the No. 4 overall pick to the Chicago White Sox. Madrigal is the highest draft selection in Oregon State history, surpassing Michael Conforto who was picked 10th to the New York Mets in 2014. According to NCAA research, three of the top seven and five of the top 20 programs with the most first-round draft picks are from the Pac-12. Arizona State is tied for the second-most with Texas (21), USC is tied at sixth with North Carolina (15), UCLA is tied at 11th (12) and Arizona is tied at 14th (11). Head coach Jay Johnson s squad posted its third-straight 30-win season and welcome back a handful of key players for 2019. Junior third baseman and 2018 first-team All-Pac-12 selection Nick Quintana was named a Collegiate Baseball preseason third-team All-American after leading the Wildcats in home runs, RBI and slugging percentage last season. The 2018 recruiting class was also ranked No. 3 in the country by Collegiate Baseball. ARIZONA STATE recorded a 23-32 overall and 13-17 Conference record last season, and return with one of the best young stars in the country, sophomore infielder Spencer Torkelson. The 2018 NCAA home run champion and Pac-12 Freshman of the Year was named National Freshman of the Year by three outlets last season (Perfect Game, Collegiate Baseball, NCBWA), in addition to being named a unanimous All-American by every major baseball media outlet. CALIFORNIA head coach Mike Neu guided the Bears to a 32-22 overall record and 16-14 mark in the Pac-12 in his first season at the helm. The 2018 season was highlighted by the emergence of Andrew Vaughn as one of the nation s top players, becoming the first-ever Cal Bear and the eighth in Pac-12 history to win the prestigious Golden Spikes Award. Vaughn, the 2018 Pac-12 Player of the Year, has been named a first team preseason All-American by Collegiate Baseball. OREGON ended the 2018 campaign with a 26-29 overall record and a 12-18 Pac-12 mark. Head coach George Horton s team is set to return three of its top four hitters, as well as junior starting pitcher Kenyon Yovan. Yovan returns to the mound after becoming just the fifth Duck during the modern era to claim first-team All-Pac-12 honors in back-to-back seasons and was recently named a second-team preseason All-American by Collegiate Baseball and D1Baseball. NCAA Champion OREGON STATE won its third NCAA title in record-breaking fashion. The Beavers (55-12-1, 20-9-1) became the first team in the NCAA Super Regional era to win three titles and the only program to ever win six elimination games in Omaha. Star catcher Adley Rutschman returns behind the plate after setting a school-record 102 hits and 83 runs batted in last season. He looks to have another dominant season this year as he s already earned three preseason All-American selections (D1Baseball, Collegiate Baseball and Perfect Game) and is the Projected Player of the Year by Collegiate Baseball. STANFORD impressed in head coach David Esquer s first season at the helm, clinching the Cardinal s first Pac-12 Championship since 2004. Posting a 46-12 overall record and 22-8 league mark, Stanford s win percentage (.793) was the second highest in program history. Reliever Jack Little had a breakout year, tying a program record with 16 saves and posting a 0.60 ERA with 58 strikeouts and eight walks. He was named a first-team All-American by D1Baseball, Baseball America, Perfect Game, NCBWA and ABCA. UCLA recorded a 37-21 overall record and a 19-11 record in the Pac-12. Head coach John Savage s squad notched 38 or more wins for the fifth time in the last eight years. The Bruins return a strong nucleus of position players including preseason second baseman Chase Strumpf, first baseman Michael Toglia and outfielder Jeremy Ydens. UCLA also brought in Baseball America s sixth-best recruiting class in the country. USC posted a 26-28 overall record and 12-18 league mark in Dan Hubb s sixth year as head coach. Perfect Game gave USC s incoming class a No. 16 ranking, the best ranking of any Pac-12 or West Coast team. It was also ranked as high as No. 14 by Baseball America. Freshman outfielder Preston Hartsell looks to be a promising addition; he was ranked the best outfielder in California for the class of 2018 by Perfect Game. UTAH finished the 2018 season with a 16-39 overall record and an 8-22 in the Pac-12. The Utes return to the diamond with a slew of talented freshmen, including right-handed pitcher Jacob Dahle who is the top-ranked RHP in Utah according to Perfect Game. Senior outfielder Erick Migueles could once again make a big impact in his final season, as he led Utah with seven home runs and 36 RBI last season. WASHINGTON raised its program to new heights in 2018 as head coach Lindsay Meggs guided the Huskies to its first-ever NCAA College World Series appearance. The Huskies finished 35-26 and third in the Pac-12 at 20-10, and hope to continue its momentum with the return of 2018 All-Pac-12 selection junior catcher Nick Kahle who hit.293 with six home runs and 37 RBI. Also returning is left-handed slugger Joe Wainhouse who earned All-Pac-12 and West-ABCA/Rawlings All-Region first team recognition after he hit a team-high 19 home runs (tied for third in the Pac-12) along with driving in 61 runs. WASHINGTON STATE posted a 16-33-1 overall record in 2018, including a 8-21-1 mark in Conference play. The year was highlighted by a pair of no-hitters by the pitching staff, the only team in the country with two no-hitters last season and the first WSU team to do so since 1976. The Cougs return four position starters and added the No. 32-ranked recruiting class that featured 10 All-State selections. 3

This is the third time in program history and the first since 2015 that the Bruins were chosen to win the Pac-12, which was also the last time UCLA clinched the Conference crown. Led by head coach John Savage, UCLA advanced to the 2018 Minnesota Regional in the NCAA Tournament, notching 38 or more wins for the fifth time in the last eight seasons. The Bruins return a strong nucleus of position players including 2018 All-Pac-12 selections in second baseman Chase Strumpf, first baseman Michael Toglia and outfielder Jeremy Ydens. After finishing fourth in the Conference last year, the Bruins have now been ranked inside the top ten in every major national preseason poll released this offseason. 2018 Pac-12 Champion STANFORD was selected to finish second for the third-consecutive year. In head coach David Esquer s first season at the helm, the Cardinal clinched its first league title since 2004, posted its second-highest winning percentage in program history (.793) and reached the NCAA Regional for the second-consecutive season. A consensus first team All-American, sophomore reliever Jack Little returns to the mound after tying a program record with 16 saves. Under the direction of first year head coach and longtime associate head coach Pat Bailey, NCAA Champion OREGON STATE was tabbed to finish third. In 11 years with OSU, Bailey helped the program to the 2018 national championship, three trips to Omaha and nine overall postseason appearances. Bailey replaces retired legendary head coach Pat Casey, who led the Beavers to all three of its NCAA titles. The 2018 CWS Most Outstanding Player Adley Rutschman is back behind the plate after setting a school record 102 hits and 83 runs batted in last season. ARIZONA finished fourth with 67 points and WASHINGTON, a year after reaching the NCAA College World Series for the first time in program history, totaled 56 points to round out the top five. ARIZONA STATE takes the sixth spot with 59 points and OREGON tallied 49 points for seventh. CALI- FORNIA received 37 points for eighth and USC was tabbed to finish ninth with 32 points. WASHING- TON STATE is 10th with 15 points and UTAH totaled 14 points for 11th.
