In addition to celebrating the Marketing Communication Award winners, the new SMPS Student Chapter benefitted from increased awareness and donations. Congratulations to Lori Haglund with Van Boerum & Frank Associates, our Marketer of the Year, and James Kilpatrick with BNA Consulting, our Rising Star, who were honored at the gala. You can reach Kim at R&O Construction kimberlyj@randoco.com 801.337.6352 Suela Kauffman and the Education Committee delivered a stellar InDesign training workshop taught by our friends at Modern8. I m looking forward to the Marketer Boot Camp on February 12th where our Senior Marketing Group will be passing along their tips for success. I have it on very good authority that The Economics of 2014 luncheon planned by Fran Pryn and the Programs Committee was the best offered to our industry this month. Many thanks to them for their tireless efforts to secure valuable and knowledgeable speakers for these luncheons. Finally, I truly appreciate those whose service is just as vital to the success of the Chapter, though they may not be as visible: Michael Raddon and the Communications Committee, Amber Craighill and the Membership Committee, Eric Stratford and the Sponsorship Committee, Julee Attig, our Regional Conference Chair, Linda Hansen, our Registration Coordinator, and all that serve on our Executive Committee. These volunteers embody the spirit of this year s theme: Pass It On! We could not provide the programs, resources, and services that SMPS offers without the dedication of these members. We invite you to be a part of the volunteer effort of SMPS Utah by joining a committee or serving on the Board. Contact myself or any of those listed above if you d like to get involved.
