Special Ministries ONGOING MINISTRY: PLASTIC BAGS FOR FAYETTE SAMARITANS We will continue to collect plastic grocery bags for Fayette Samaritans! Just place them in the container in the Welcome Center. Thank you for helping to meet this need. Operation Christmas Child Processing Center Worker Volunteers More than a Christmas Gift On Thursday, December 14 th we had 13 Lisbon volunteers travel to the metro-atlanta Shoebox processing center. Arriving shortly before 9 AM, our hard workers set to work getting the donated shoeboxes checked, sorted and packed for shipment to children around the world. As we processed these boxes, we were reminded that each box would be a tool that would be used to share the story of the special gift of Jesus' love. Continue to pray for these boxes as they continue their journey and pray for the workers that will distribute the boxes that they will allow God to work through their lives and their messages. As it turned out, our group was there working when the last of the 1,600,000 shoeboxes in the Atlanta center was completed, WHAT A BLESSING! Winter Clothing Drive The time of cold weather is here and with it comes the need of the homeless folks for useable warm clothing. Again this year we will be collecting gently worn cold weather clothing for the Rushton's Hope center in Griffin, GA. REMEMBER, if you get new jackets, coats, gloves, caps, socks or whatever, DON'T THROW THE OLD ONES AWAY! Check those old items, if they still have some life left in them, make sure they are clean and bring them to the church. A box will be in the Welcome Center for those donations December 31 through January 14. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Giving to others will not take away from what you have but will in fact add to your life.
