~ About the VFM Scholarship.. :... ~ ~ The Vernessa Frasier Moore Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to high school seniors who live in ~ Charleston County or the surrounding areas, and will be pursuing post-secondary education in the field of ~ early childcare and/or medicine/health care. ~ Students enrolled in either public or private schools, as well as home schooled students, are eligible to ~ apply. To apply, submit a complete application, two letters of recommendatiqn from your teachers, ~ ~ employers, ministers or social workers, an official school transcript, and a 250-500 word essay on a ~ separate sheet of paper attached to your scholarship application, answering the essential questions: ~ ~ First Experiences can be defining. Explain a first experience that you have had, its impact on you, and ~ how it has influenced you to pursue a career in the healthcare or teaching system. ~ ~Is there someone who encouraged you or an event in your life that sparked your interest in the medical or ~ ~ teaching field? ~ ~ ~What medical specialty would you make the focus of your career? How do you think you can improve ~ t teaching? t Deadline for application and essay is April 1, 2016.
