Gently Used Stuffed Animals Ministry Highlights Mass Coordinators By: Luke Laborde Can you volunteer one service a month as a mass coordinator? Mass coordinators are an integral component of the Liturgical Ministry at St. Aloysius. The primary responsibility of a mass coordinator is to check that the appropriate set-up for Mass takes place for each weekend and holy day mass, and to verify that altar servers, ushers, Eucharistic ministers, and lectors are present at the service. Mass coordinators also assist the priest in response to any special needs that arise during the service. Through this ministry, we support Father Than and Father Peter and our guest priests, facilitating their reflective and prayerful preparation for the liturgy. Volunteers serve approximately once per month at the mass time of their choice, and are needed at all weekend services. Your commitment requires that you arrive 15-30 minutes before mass and stay a few minutes after the service. Training is provided, along with a simple checklist for use at each service. If you are already an usher, lector, or Eucharistic minister, it s easy to serve both roles. Youth Group members are welcome! We need volunteers for all services. Training sessions are available at your convenience by appointment. Contact Luke Laborde at luke.laborde@gmail.com or call 281-0711. The St. Aloysius Fair Prize Booth is soliciting gently used stuffed animals and plush toys. Please ONLY CLEAN, well-cared for stuffed animals and toys are needed all sizes are welcome. All Clean and Bagged Donations may be brought to the parish office beginning October 1, 2013.
