My Learning Center After accessing the site, you ll land on My Learning Center. 3 You are greeted with the Message Board, sharing important information from EdAssist and Home Depot. From here you can also: Add a new application (tuition reimbursement claim) Access Home Depot s tuition reimbursement policy, FAQs and tutorials Review network schools and other educational resources Navigate to other pages
The Streamlined 4-Step Process Step 1: Add Application & Program Information Click Add Application to start your new application. You will be shown the appropriate programs based on your current status and cap eligibility. Select a school in the Education Information section. For subsequent applications, the school you choose now will be the default (you can change it if needed). 4
The Streamlined 4-Step Process Step 2: Add Course Information Fill in your session information, including your program, field of study, and course dates. Select Add Course to enter specific courses. Only courses with the same start and end dates should be included on the same application. 5
The Streamlined 4-Step Process Step 2: Add Expense Information Select Add Expense to enter fees and expenses that are covered by the plan. You can enter books, course related fees, and non-course related fees. You do not need to itemize fees on your application but your proof of payment must be itemized. 6
The Streamlined 4-Step Process Step 3: Financial Aid and Agreements Enter any grants or scholarships that you are receiving. Read and agree with all agreements provided by Home Depot and EdAssist. Agreements, along with your Electronic Signature, are needed to continue with the application. 7
The Streamlined 4-Step Process Step 4: Review and Submit This page summarizes the information you ve entered including institution, degree, courses, grants and tuition. If you need to make any corrections, please do so at this time by using the Edit function. Once you re satisfied with all the information, please Submit for review. If further information is needed, you will be contacted through Application Comments. 8
Tracking Your Application Status Tracking Your Application You ll receive email notifications informing you of your application status. Example emails: Application has been approved Application is incomplete Supporting documentation has been uploaded and received Application is being processed for payment You should also monitor your application online through the My Dashboard links. 9
Application Comments Application Comments You have the option to add comments to your applications. Comments will be visible to you and the EdAssist employee services team; you may use them to ask EdAssist questions about a specific application. The EdAssist employee services team may also add comments to communicate with you. You will receive an email when new comments are added by EdAssist. 10
Advising Appointments Sign Up for Advising You can sign up online for an academic advising session. Select My Advising from the navigation menu. You can view your appointment history or sign up for a new appointment by clicking Schedule an Appointment. 11
Submitting Your Documentation Upload documents directly to your application: Click on the Application Number on your Dashboard. Select Submit Documents. From the dropdown menu, select the type of document. Click the Choose File button to locate the document on your computer. If you are uploading grades, indicate the grades you received. Click Submit to complete the upload. You will be notified via email when your document is uploaded. The document will appear on the Supporting Documentation section of the application (there is a delay before the document is visible). Final grade and receipt documents are due within 90 days of course end date. 12
Submitting Your Documentation All receipts must contain: School letterhead/information Student name Course names and term (information that shows when/what the charges are) Tuition amounts Itemized list of charges Proof of payment Financial aid (including scholarships, grants, discounts, etc.) must be listed by type and amount if applicable 13
Submitting Your Documentation All grade reports must contain: School letterhead/information Student name Course name Grade received EdAssist will process your reimbursement request within 3-5 days of receipt of the proper documentation. You will be sent an email notification that your application has been processed for payment. You should expect to receive reimbursement in your paycheck. Reimbursement should be received within 1-2 pay cycles after the application has been approved for payment. 14
