2010-2011 Schools of Instruction Schedule Under the direction of Kenneth C. Gorgen Grand Lecturer District 2 DISTRICT LECTURER Harold J. Christensen KEEP FOR REFERENCE
Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons Of Wisconsin August/September 2010 Dear Brothers; School of Instruction is for every Master Mason not just the officers. The opportunity will be available for all Masters Masons to improve themselves in Masonry. As Lodge officers, you are encouraged to recommend to your membership their attendance at the school(s) of instruction occurring in your area. Make it an opportunity to go as a group and enjoy the time you will spend together. Our Grand Lecturer and your local District Lecturers have worked and prepared hard to provide the guidance that will make your lodge stronger. The ritual of Freemasonry is unequalled when done with confidence and grace. Your membership and candidates should be impressed with your work. It has been said many times that the primary job of Masons is to make more Masons. To do this we must be good to great at what we do. We need to use the tools provided us to accomplish this goal. You have the cipher to help you with the ritual work and your District Lecturer is available to help you understand the intricacies in this cipher. Your District Lecturer will also help you to understand the floor work. The cipher has a lot of material both in the front and in the pages near the end of the book. Please set your goals each year to learn another part or lecture. Before you know it you will be eligible to discuss the Ritualist or Proficiency requirements with your District Lecturer. Your goal should be to help you Lodge by earning one of these marks of distinction. Remember that Ritualist or Proficiency card holders earn points for your Lodge s Lodge Excellence Award (LEA). Additionally, every Lodge member s attendance at the School of Instruction earns points for your award too. My brothers always remember how do we meet? act? and part? Never forget those obligations taken while kneeling at the Altar of Freemasonry nor those charges given to you at the conclusion of each of your three degrees. On the Level Joseph B. Harker Grand Master
