E-Cell About us In a world full of budding entrepreneurs, E-Cell BPHC acts as a pathway to successful businesses. Nurturing entrepreneurships enthusiasts, enriching their ideas and providing them with a rich entrepreneurship culture to look up to is our prime responsibility. Holding workshops to come up with B-plans for your startups, learning about seed funding, teaching management skills are some of the methods we use to shoot you towards your dreams. We, a family of 40 hardworking, dedicated students, constitute the Entrepreneurship Cell of BITS Pilani, Hyderabad. LAUNCHPAD LAUNCHPAD is the annual startup conclave organized by E-Cell, BPHC. This year, in our second edition of LAUNCHPAD we bring to you a confluence of students, budding entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, angel investors and more on a single platform. With more than 1000 startup founders, angel investors, VC s and students attending the event, it is considered to be one of the biggest startup conclaves in Telangana and Karnataka. Beyond Profits Social innovation and entrepreneurship are the wheels that steer the world into a brighter future. Great ideas and initiatives result into great undertakings which pave the way for glaring success. It is easier said than done because the process of realizing an idea needs a deep understanding of the world around us, and an innate preparedness to cope with failures - an inevitable part of enterprising. Beyond profits is the annual social B-plan competition organized by E-Cell, BPHC to promote social entrepreneurship. It is a competition that provides a platform for budding social entrepreneurs to get excellent professional mentorship and to present their ideas to investors, incubators and other successful entrepreneurs.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERION- Individual participation is allowed in the competition, although participation in teams is highly encouraged. A team can have up to 8 members. There is no restriction on any individual to participate. Anyone, from students to working professionals across the world, can participate. Startup should have primary social purpose, which should be its core objective. The plan should solving a critical social problem. Startup should have a financially sustainable business model and clear revenue streams. Startups which have been incorporated more than two year ago are not eligible to participate in BEYOND PROFITS. You will be required to submit proof of the same during the competition process. Startups which have received any form of external funding (angel investors, seed funding or venture capital) are not eligible to participate. Although, there is no restriction on incubated startups. Ventures cannot be a buyout, an expansion of an existing company, a real estate syndication, a tax shelter, a franchise, a licensing agreement for distribution in a different geographical area, or a spin-out from an existing corporation. Startup should not be a non-government organization or any other form of charitable organization. Teams may be asked to provide proof of the above at any time during the competition cycle and in the eventuality of wrong details/information, your entry shall be disqualified. RULES: 1. Participants are required to register and submit their business model online. 2. There is no restriction on any individual to participate. Anyone, from students to working professionals across the world, can participate. 3. Participation can be done on an individual basis or in a team of up to 8 members. 4. There is no restriction on teams taking part in other business plan/ model competitions 5. 'Team Name' cannot be changed over the course of the competition. It should be used for any future correspondence or queries. 6. A team can submit more than one business model/ idea after registration but in doing so, it must register separately for each submission. The same email-id and/or team name cannot be used for doing so. 7. A team cannot participate in both GROUND REALITY and BEYOND PROFITS.

8. The final authority regarding any decision rests in the hands of organizers. 9. The decision of the jury shall be binding and final on the participants Round 1: 1. Teams must register themselves online and answer the provided questionnaire. 2. The participants are expected to answer all the questions in detail. 3. It is not necessary for the teams to have an established start-up. We encourage people having ideas to participate. 4. Teams who are in early stages of planning are also encouraged to participate. 5. Judging will be based upon the main idea and answers provided by the participants, in accordance with which some of the teams will be shortlisted. ROUND 2: 1. Teams that qualify for the first round have to submit their business model (need not to be final) along with some documents.(the details of which will be provided later). 2. Participants will be allotted specific mentors according to their requirement and mentoring will take place via email, video conferencing and telephone calls. Round 3: Based on the score given by mentors and provided B-plan, top 5 teams will be shortlisted and will be invited to take part in the final round. Teams will pitch their business model in front of the jury and investors. Details of presentation will be communicated later. Timeline of the Event 1. Registration closes on 7th January 2018. 2. 10th January 2018-1st February 2018 Teams have to submit Business Model (need not be final) along other details (like revenue, costs, etc).

Mentors will be provided who will help the participants to prepare Business Model Canvas and presentation 3. On 18th Feb team will pitch their business model in front of jury and investors. 4. Details of presentation will be provided later. Prizes Total cash prize of more than 2 lacs including co-working space, legal help, incubation opportunities, web development and accelerator program among other benefits will be awarded to the winner. Networking session with judges, speakers, mentors and other attendees will be open for all the finalists.
