ALUMNI MUSIC WEEKEND The Laker Alumni Pep Band played for both the women s and men s alumni games on October 27th. We had a great turnout! Thanks to everyone who played! Later that evening, we held an Alumni Coffee House at the Estherville VFW. Alumni to perform were Mark Lair, vocalist and the Michael Wilbur and Michael Davis Quintet. For a picture tour of both events, see the last two pages of this publication. Also check out our Iowa Lakes Music Facebook page. If you play an instrument you can be in pep band! No audition. It does, however, take positive energy to play fun music, scream, and do crazy things. PLUS, you get a free shirt and possibly some free food! If you don t play an instrument you can be in pep band! No problem. We need rappers and people to play percussion instruments and kazoos. We also need people for building pyramids, hoola-hooping, and being just plain crazy. PLUS, you get a free shirt and possibly some free food! If you haven t played in years you can be in pep band! No worries. It s like riding a bike - you never truly forget how. We invite alumni and community members to join us any time! If you would like more information or would like to join, please contact Carol Ayres at cayres@iowalakes.edu. Reminder for High School Directors: Look for online registration and other vital information for Jazz Festival and Show Choir/ Jazz Choir Festival at www.iowalakes.edu/ music.
