Meeting Minutes Meeting Summary Agenda Description Item 1 Welcome Welcome to all in attendance 2 Review council minutes from October 11, 2017 Reviewed and adopted Motioned by Tamara Molloy and seconded by Carol Clemens Adopted 3 Principal/Teacher report Review of Annual Fundraising plan Pizza Q: raised $500 Colts tickets: raised $713 Painting in the yard targeting to keep it under $5000 and leverage Big Box Cards fundraiser o For additional $250 we could leverage him for a half-day session for the kids for leadership Review of potential need in the future to fund Agendas: o ACTION: Review whether it is a board directive to have the school fund all agendas o ACTION: Review with teachers if this is a necessary tool o Consider various options including opt in/out options Confirmation that all payments for fundraisers must be made payable to Minesing Central public school Snack bins review and approved by oversight body o Asked the school to boost up dry food donations o Add fruits, yogurts, hummus/crackers need to be in the fridge and labelled o Can t get into cutting of fruits/vegetables o Approved gloves for cheerios, etc o School is comfortable with this options for additional snacks o Donations welcome such as gift card for purchases at Walmart for snacks, etc Pro-grant granted $1,000 for engaging families in STEAM o Follow up: Setup date to get the process going o ACTION: Send out notice to parents via twitter/facebook to get parent support (Mrs Timpano) o Jody Zurbrigg and Laura-Lea Vogel to lead Merry Mustangs o December 13 th from 6:30 8:30 o REQUEST: Need volunteers for event Hot Chocolate Council support needed Hold the date o Recommend performances in the gym o Silent auction indoors Grade 6/7/8 (approx. 25 kids) to patrolers Page 2 of 5
