Please take some time to read through this letter and understand and comply with the instructions detailed in the following pages. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your chain of command. We, the instructors and adult volunteers, look forward to serving with you all. A few points to remember about this training:. This is a zero-tolerance environment. There shall be a. No sexual harassment b. No racial discrimination c. No fraternization d. No hazing e. No substance abuse 2. Trainees with receive classroom and field training, including but not limited to, first-aid, CPR, firearms safety, marksmanship testing, field operations, crowd control & ramp marshaling. This will be a physically taxing and testing environment for the cadets. 3. Travel: All cadets will report at Arlington Municipal Airport, Arlington, WA between 300 and 500. The exact intake location will be sent in an email before the training starts. No cadets are allowed to drive themselves. All cadets must be dropped off and picked up by a parent/guardian. Lodging: Cadets and staff will be lodged in large tents on the Arlington Municipal Airport grounds. 4. Sea Bag: The Sea Bag list is attached. There is very limited laundry facilities. It is extremely important that cadets bring at least the required number of items and a sturdy laundry bag. 5. Shooting Range Waiver: Also attached to this document is a waiver for the cadets to attend firearms safety and marksmanship. Please sign and email to flyin@nsesc.org as soon as possible. Without this waiver, your cadet will not be able to graduate the training.
6. Spending Money: The cadets might have some liberty time while they are working the 50 th Anniversary of the Arlington Fly-In. Please bring no more than $50 for the cadets to spend. The instructors are not responsible for any cash the cadets bring to the training. 7. Graduation: Graduation will be held at 400 at the Arlington Municipal Airport. The exact location will be announced later. Parents & Guests are invited to attend the graduation. There is no seating available, so please bring you own seating. 8. Trainees and parents should contact their chain of command. Do not contact the COTC directly. 9. Safety: This is a zero-tolerance training, as mentioned before. Any person, harassing/abusing others or mentioning the words suicide or depression will have their training immediately terminated and sent home without any recourse. Parents/guardians will be expected to pick up their wards within hours of being notified of dismissal. 0. All cadets attending this training must be physically able to withstand the rigors of 2- hour work days and being on their feet for a long time. Any personnel who has a recent injury or medical issue must get approval through the chain of command and must be approved by the Commanding Officer of the training.. Unauthorized possession of prohibited items will result in immediate dismissal from training. 2. CONTROLLED ITEMS These items must be turned in at check-in: Personal electronics/tablets/ computers/cellphones; Prescription medication in original pharmacy container. 3. NSCC insignia All uniform items must be appropriately marked with NSCC flashes and name tapes in accordance with NSCC Uniform Regulations. Double check that your flashes are properly placed and the eagles face forward. 4. Rate insignia You earned it, so wear it. As with NSCC flashes, rate insignia is required to be worn on all appropriate uniforms. 5. Awards The prescribed dress uniform for all events, including graduation will be dress whites, meaning ribbons only. 6. Mark your clothes/towels with your name LAST NAME and SEA CADET ID number in permanent ink. Mark your black/blue items with a white / silver fabric pen. 7. When trainees report aboard, sea bags and uniforms will be inspected.
