L A N G D A L E V I E W R E S I D E N T I A L & N U R S I N G H O M E Langdale View is located within a conservation area in the heart of suburban Humberstone. It majestically stands as a grade II listed building, just two an a half miles from the Clock Tower (the centre of Leicester) shown on the front page it sits on an elevated piece of land, allowing our residents to benefit from the wonderful surrounding garden areas and has scenic views of the neighbouring Golf Club. Being a conservation area, it has a peaceful and tranquil ambience. Our residents can be seen feeding our resident squirrels and for those avid bird watchers, a wood-pecker is not too far away to admireit is a dual-registered home and because of this, the residents who require nursing care, never have to leave the home. Our spacious entrance hall......benefits from high ceilings and a great ambiance. The home has 34 rooms, however can accommodate 36 residents. The executive rooms offer generous space to accommodate two occupants. The remaining rooms are made up of both deluxe and premium deluxe rooms with small variations in room size
Langdale View is a Residential and Nursing Home for people who need help or nursing care in some or all aspects of their life. We are registered to provide care and accommodation for older and younger people with Dementia, people with physical disabilities and people who need nursing care on a permanent or temporary (respite) basis We aim to provide service users with a secure, relaxed and homely environment......in which their care, well-being and comfort is of prime importance The home is deceptively large as can be seen from the picture of our communal spaces which includes 2 sizeable lounges, (pictured above)......1 which leads to a conservatory (overlooking the courtyard. There is also a large dining room which is bright and airy.

Over the first few days, we talk to you about your likes and dislikes and introduce you to other residents and find out how you prefer to spend your time. PHYSICAL DISABILITY Our homes are equipped with the right facilities, equipment and qualified staff to care for a wide range of disabilities and needs. We are able to care for people who are unable to look after themselves in their own homes. M E N TA L H E A LT H C O N D I T I O N S We provide high quality care and support to those who suffer with mental illness and have physical, psychological and social needs. We work in partnership with Local Authorities and Health Associations to provide specialist short and long term services RESIDENTIAL CARE We provide round the clock residential care, our trained, qualified and experienced staff are on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Privacy and dignity are at the core of our care and staff will help you in any way you need with your personal care needs. NURSING CARE We provide 24 hour personal support in a secure, relaxed, clean and homely environment to those residents with conditions that require round the clock specialized nursing care. We are able to offer both long and short-term nursing care options. DEMENTIA With the help of family and loved ones, we can get to know our residents and their life and ensure we base our care around their likes, dislikes and habits. Our Dementia Pledge drives our family of staff to ensure that our residents life is valued to the brim and independence, trust, choice, equality, freedom and dignity are respected above all else.
P E R S O N C E N T R E D C A R E As soon as a Resident arrives, care plans are created with the involvement of their next of kin and are reviewed monthly. A holistic and person centred approach is adopted to ensure that all the needs and wishes of our residents are taken into count and catered for. Our focus is on the person rather than their condition or the daily task's. At the core of our ethos is valuing the individuality, the privacy and dignity and choice for our residents. We strongly implore that the residents, with the assistance of their loved ones, to personalise their rooms so as to contribute towards the sense of feeling that their residence is a "home from home." Langdale Care Homes aim to provide Residents with a secure, relaxed and a homely environment in which their care, well-being and comfort is of prime importance. R E L I G I O U S S E R V I C E The home has close links with a local Christian church who visit once a month to hold a service for those that wish to join in. Contact can be made with any religious group or organization if resident's wish and visits can be arranged. A C T I V I T I E S Activities are scheduled on a daily basis and consist of both "one on one" and group sessions where everyone is encouraged to join in The group activities are displayed on a white board and visible for all to see. We encourage residents at the home to get involved with both choosing and partaking in the range of activities, notably reminiscing, arts and crafts, observation of local wildlife amongst others that we offer. We often book singers to come and entertain our residents, and we celebrate a number of events. Not just the normal bank holiday's but also, Diwali, St George's Day, May Day, Halloween, Bonfire night to name a few.
C A T E R I N G Our chefs work hard to ensure that our Resident's are served with a varied, nutritional and appetizing. The breakfast menu includes tea or coffee, fruit juice, porridge, cereals, toast and preserves and also a cooked breakfast if requested. The lunchtime menu gives 2 choices of meal in addition to a vegetarian meal. The teatime menu again offers 2 choices both hot and cold. Kosha and Halal requests are also available. Tea and coffee is available throughout the day, with the addition of Horlicks and Chocolate during the evening and into the night for those residents who are having trouble sleeping. Our menu's are overseen by dietician's and specialist dietary requirements are provided. N U R S E C A L L Nurse call systems are active 24/7 and frequently serviced to maintain high operability. Each bedroom, en-suite and communal room have a call bell fitted and linked to the system for the purposes of health, safety and wellbeing of our residents. S T A F F We provide round the clock residential care, our trained, qualified and experienced staff are on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. All of our staff have a very caring disposition and ensure that resident's are treated with respect, dignity and sensitivity. They are responsive to the individual needs of residents' and provide the appropriate degree of care to ensure the highest possible quality of life. This is achieve through careful assessment of needs, good care planning, dedication of staff and high quality management and training. L A U N D R Y S E R V I C E We provide a daily on-site laundry and ironing service for all our resident's clothing, towels, bed linen etc. All personal items are labelled (by family please) and clothing is sorted and returned to resident's rooms when laundered. Repairs are carried our as necessary
