The Organization: PROUDLY PETERSON SINCE 1949 Peterson Regional Medical Center is a private, not-for-profit community-based healthcare system located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country in Kerrville. For over 65 years, Peterson Regional Medical Center (PRMC) has provided exceptional, compassionate, patient-centered care. That legacy continues with exciting plans to elevate healthcare like never before! PRMC has always been an independent, not-for-profit healthcare organization. With a long, proud history of serving the people of the Texas Hill Country, Peterson s customer base spans over nine neighboring counties covering over 100,000 square miles. With net revenues of more than $125 million and approximately 900 fulltime employees and over 250 medical professionals, the PRMC family has been the largest employer in Kerr County for many decades. Supported in work and spirit by more than 100 dedicated volunteers and the firm belief and commitment of the PRMC Foundation, Peterson continues to grow, thrive, and advance. Serenely settled on a scenic 35-acre campus, the 124-bed hospital features comfortable private rooms. Within the main campus is an Emergency Department and over 25 key service lines/departments to include a certified Acute Rehab Unit; Texas Ten Step designated maternity unit, The Baby Place, and Women s Services; an Intensive Care Unit; an expanded Heart and Vascular Center providing Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Radiology, seven surgical suites; and an award-winning Center for Orthopedic Health for total joint replacement, and more. Peterson s neighboring Ambulatory Care Center offers outpatient surgical services, radiology and imaging, outpatient rehabilitation and an advanced Wound Healing Center offering two hyperbaric oxygen chambers the only of their kind available in the region. Peterson s roster of services also includes Peterson Hospice, Peterson Homecare, Peterson Medical Associates, Peterson s Outreach Lab, Peterson Community Care, Peterson Urgent Care, and Peterson Specialty Care in Kerrville and Boerne, recently named Best Medical Specialty by readers of the Boerne Star. Peterson recently opened a new family practice clinic in Bandera to meet the growing needs of this community. Proudly, Peterson is rising to new heights. Peterson is raising their efforts and raising the bar in the new year. Elevating all efforts, they are committed to improving lives, inspiring others, lifting the spirit, raising families, growing communities, and making a difference. At Peterson Health, they are elevating health and each other together. There is excitement about the future of Peterson and the community Peterson is honored to serve.

In January 2016, Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital/Peterson Regional Medical Center became known as Peterson Health. The Peterson name is synonymous with community support, and Peterson Health describes that commitment to health a rallying cry that unites the organization in purpose and communicates that purpose to the patients and the community. It is the very foundation of the new Peterson Health brand. Peterson Health s employees lead boards, serve as ambassadors, mentor at local schools or coach area teams in non-competitive sports or events. Peterson Health is more than just a hospital it is nine other rooftops spanning two counties in order to provide comprehensive health care options to the community. Learn more about Peterson s growing footprint at https://www.petersonhealth.com In August 2018, Peterson Health was recognized by the Studer Group as Healthcare Organization of the Month. Additionally, Peterson Health s commitment to Elevating Health has earned this organization the National Rural Health Association s (NRHA) highest distinction: Peterson Regional Medical Center was named a nation s Top 20 Rural Community Hospital for 2017 the only hospital in Texas to make this exclusive list.
