Expert Lecture on 'VLSI Design' Speaker: Prof. J. P. Pail, R. C. Patel

Number of Students: 20 Event Objectives & Outcomes: Prof. J. P. Pail has explained the basic practical concepts of VLSI Design. Correlate the theory and practical knowledge of VLSI. They also explained the uses of VLSI in industries. Students will able to design IC, small projects with the practical knowledge of VLSI Design.

Expert Lecture on Industrial Approach for Electronics Mr. Vinay Kumar Sharma, Territory Manager, Siemens Ltd, Process Industries & Drives, Nashik Number of Students: 60 Event Objectives & Outcomes: Mr. Vinay Kumar Sharma guided the students on project selection so as to meet the standards of Industry requirements. He also appealed the students of Final year to emphasize on practicing Aptitude tests, group discussions and focus on communication skills in order to survive in the competitive market. He appealed the students to have a thorough knowledge regarding all basic concepts of Electronics in order to crack the technical interviews. Mr. Vinay Sharma also made aware all the students regarding Industrial scenario for aspiring Electronics Engineers with regards to placements. He also shared his personal experiences with all students describing his journey from students to now a Manager at Siemens Ltd.

One Day Session for Faculty on Stress Management Speaker: Mr. Shyamsundar Bahekar, Sr. Engineer ABB Ltd., Nashik Event Objectives & Outcomes: Mr. Shyamsundar Bahekar illustrated the various conceptual definitions of stress. He also highlighted the disadvantages along with a few advantages of having stress. Participants were asked to interact with each other with regards to what makes them stressful and also stating the reason.

INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS CELL Seminar on Industrial Internship in Italy Speaker: Mr. Kerron Vaishnav & Ms. Nagma Shaikh Number of Students: 150 Event Objectives & Outcomes: Mr Kerron Vaishnav explained in brief role of Disha International Trust in collaborating with nearly 55 countries partnering in educational, cultural and youth projects. He also explained the opportunities available in abroad for Internships in reputed multinational companies for students & freshers. He shared the success stories of Neeraj Shahane and Sameer Pawar both Exstudents from Sandip Foundation currently completing their Internships in Italy. Ms Nagma Shaikh also briefed the entire process of selection and visa interviews along with essential documents. Students asked their various queries regarding cost, accommodation and placement opportunities with regards to Internships in Italy.

Alumni Meet - 2017 Electrical Engineering Department About the Event: The event was objected towards having an interaction with the alumni of Electrical Department for improving bilateral coordination with them. The meet was attended by students from all the passed out batches. The students were felicitated by Prof. H R Kulkarni, & other faculties of department. The students shared their views about necessary improvements that can be inducted in the department. Feedback forms were filled by them regarding curriculum. The alumni member shared their experiences about industrial world with the faculties. The event was concluded with a Get-together Lunch.

SIEM AT SUSTAINABLE ENTERPRISE AWARD (SEA) 2017 In yet another endeavor to promote and provide a platform to the aspiring entrepreneurs across India, SEA is Competition organised by Jagriti Yatra and supported by Coca-Cola (India) for 25 District across India for those who are having enterprise Idea in filled of Agriculture, Recycling and Water. Out of 25 Venue Partners across India, Sandip Foundation s Sandip Institute of Engineering & Management (SIEM) was one of them., for24th National level competition SUSTAINABLE ENTERPRISE AWARD (SEA) and successfully hosted the first round of SEA event. A panel of 15 jury members across India evaluated the performance of the teams. The diversity of the participants and the extent of ideas that the participants presented was really inspiring even for the jury members. We feel proud to share the list of 03 teams from SIEM, who were selected for Semifinals. The presentation by the teams in semifinal was highly appreciated by the jury panel of SEA India 2017.
