Critical Care Nursing: The Future Is Now! The Goal of the Chesapeake Bay Chapter is to offer high quality, low cost educational opportunities to area critical and progressive care nurses. Keynote address from AACN Board of Directors Paula McCauley and presentations by last year s president, Karen McQuillan. Concurrent sessions featuring clinical as well as professional development topics Hands-on advanced airway skills lab Exhibits featuring latest products and equipment Program Description: The Chesapeake Bay Chapter-American Association of Critical Care Nurses presents the 28th Annual Symposium: Critical Care Nursing, The Future is Now! This two day conference includes a variety of topics related to critical and progressive care nursing and focuses on advances in clinical care, complex patient assessments, and updates in patient management. Program Objectives: Attendance at this conference will enable the participant to : Evaluate the implications of professional practice issues affecting critical and progressive care nurses Integrate current research findings into patient care Discuss recent technological advances and their applications to nursing practice Research and Evidence Based Practice/ Performance Improvement Posters: Do you have a unique or best practice that you have implemented in your unit or facility that you would be willing to share with other critical care nurses? Posters can depict a completed or on-going nursing research project, an innovation in patient care or evidence based practice, or a specific clinical improvement effort. The posters will be displayed in the conference center during the break periods on Wednesday, March 15 and Thursday March 16. One primary presenter of each poster will receive a discounted fee on their conference tuition and must be available for questions and discussion in the display area during break times. Posters should be free standing and able to sit on a 6 x 2 table. Please contact Jean Little (jeanlittlecbcaacn@gmail.com) for details and to register by February 20, 2017.
