DEPARTMENT OF NEW MEXICO VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS OF THE U.S. General Order No. 2 2011-2012 Series Released August 8, 2011 1. The Department of New Mexico will hold a Council of Administration Meeting at 2:00 PM, October 22, 2011 at VFW Post 614 (Aztec). The uniform will be Business Dress. District Commanders are reminded that as members of the Council, attendance is required. If a District Commander is unable to attend, either the Senior or Junior Vice Commander must attend. Homecoming will follow that evening. 2. Post Commanders will ensure that the Post Registered Agent is the Post Quartermaster. Anyone else serving as the Post Registered Agent is in direct violation of the National By- Laws. 3. All Post Commanders will ensure that at least one copy of the 2012 Podium Edition of the National By-Laws has been ordered from VFW Emblem Supply. Emblem Supply will ship copies upon publication. It is recommended sufficient copies be ordered to provide all line officers with the current edition. It is also recommended that all members be offered the opportunity to obtain a copy of the Podium Edition if desired. All previous editions are considered obsolete upon publication of the 2012 Podium Edition. 4. Attention is directed to the Mid-Winter Convention to be held in the Ballroom of Uptown Albuquerque Sheraton on February 18 th, 2012. 5.
