Seton s college-preparatory program teaches our students to think critically and to express themselves effectively. If you want an even greater challenge, accelerated courses are available beginning in freshman year: 22 honors courses in the humanities, science, math, history, and languages, as well as in visual and performing arts. The Bayley Program is available for students who need additional study time, modified schedules, or one-on-one assistance from the school s resource teachers. This valuable reinforcement is offered at no additional charge to help students meet the demands of Seton s challenging college-preparatory curriculum. Most important, students in the Bayley Program learn side by side with their peers in the same classes; they aren t placed in separate sections. Seton s one-of-a-kind career programs let you delve deeply into an interest before you commit to a course of study in college. Challenging college-preparatory courses, combined with hands-on internships and externships at some of the area s most prestigious businesses and organizations, help you explore your interests, develop your skills, gain real-world experiences, and establish important professional mentors. Seton s unique, multi-year career programs are available in several disciplines. Our pre-law program is the only one of its kind in the Archdiocese of Washington, and we are the only college-preparatory high school in Maryland to offer an accredited pharmacy technician program. STRENGTHEN YOUR SPIRIT AS WELL AS YOUR MIND Seton is an inclusive, faith-based Catholic school, modeled on the values of St. Vincent de Paul: compassion, humility, generosity, and service to others. In addition to completing four credits in religious studies, you will be encouraged to spend time in prayer and reflection through school liturgies; class retreats; and the annual Christian experience, Seton Encounter. She opens her arms to those in need. As a Seton girl, you will be expected to complete community service hours, with an emphasis on assisting those in need throughout the Washington metropolitan area. Our extensive range of service opportunities cultivate spiritual development and compassionate understanding. CONVEY YOUR CREATIVITY In addition to rigorous college-preparatory classes in the humanities, modern languages, and STEM disciplines, Seton offers robust programs in both the visual and the performing arts. VISUAL ARTS Whether you are looking for a creative outlet to balance your academic studies or you are considering a career in architecture, photography, or design, you will find your interests served by Seton s studio art classes. PERFORMING ARTS Throughout the region, Elizabeth Seton High School is well-known for its excellent performing arts program. Our modern performance facilities showcase student talent at its best. If your interest is music, choose from choir, orchestra, concert band, or symphonic band. The Seton Music Boosters reimburse 50% of the cost of private lessons. Students who enjoy theater can take classes in acting technique, character study, voice, and movement. Dance class options include ballet, modern, jazz, and hip hop. All performing arts groups have numerous opportunities to perform throughout the year, including musical concerts and festivals, school presentations, a fall play, and a spring musical. FLEX YOUR MUSCLES When it comes to athletics, Seton s Roadrunners are a force to be reckoned with; the majority of students participate on one of the school s 22 extracurricular teams.
