Requirements: Teams of 2 with 1 adult over 21 willing to supervise and act as Captain. *Having own boat is highly encouraged.* Pre-ACT and PSAT/NMSQT Test Information The state of South Carolina is offering the Pre-ACT test to all 10th grade students for FREE. The Pre-ACT will be administered at school on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. The test will take approximately two hours and 15 minutes. If you have any questions regarding the Pre-ACT, please call Ms. Burgess at 821-3405. In addition to the state providing a free opportunity for your student to take the Pre-ACT, our school will also offer the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) test to all 10th grade students for $15. Please see Mr. McCormack in the Main Office to sign up for the PSAT. Any 11 th grader that wants to try and qualify for the National Merit Scholarship should sign up. Important: If you student has an IEP or 504 and requires accommodations for PSAT testing, your student must sign up by Friday, August 26 so that school personnel have enough time to assist you in applying for these accommodations through the College Board. If you have any questions regarding the PSAT, please call Mr. McCormack at 821-3409. Seniors College Application Day 2016 Seniors College Application Day (CAD) 2016 is coming Tuesday, September 20! It will be held in the computer lab in the Learning Commons and you will have an hour to work on college applications. There are two big bonuses to doing this there will be college representatives here to help you and

many of our in-state colleges waive the application fee for CAD. That means you can apply for FREE! Come to the Counseling Office to pick up an instruction booklet and sign up for a time 9 a.m., 10 a.m., or 11 a.m. Seats are limited so come sign up now! LOCC CLUB LOCC is a part of the Lexington One Community Coalition (LOCC) District Task Force. Our club will talk, learn, and support the prevention of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug abuse in the school and community. We will meet the first Wednesday of each month at 7:45 AM in A111.
