About SPCE Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan s Sardar Patel College of Engineering (SPCE), was founded by Kulpati Dr. K. M. Munshi. It was established to meet the growing demand of engineering talent. The foundation stone of the college was laid on 17 th September 1961 by Shri. Y. B. Chavan (Chief Minister of Maharashtra who later became the Defense Minister of India). The college was inaugurated by the First Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in 1962. The college is dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, an eminent nation builder of independent India. The college is autonomous and affiliated to the University of Mumbai for Full-time degree and post graduate degree courses. The institute has set high standards for aspiring engineering students and also meets the needs of quality education in challenging world of business. Over last 50 years the college has gained an excellent reputation in the field of technical education. Two UG Programmes and Three PG Programmes are accredited which certifies the spirit of excellence that the institute has symbolized and always practiced. Institute has celebrated its Golden Jubilee in the year 2012. About SPCE START-UP CELL SPCE START UP CELL was established in January 2018 as a mandate from AICTE in order to develop a vibrant and ideal entrepreneurial ecosystem in the institute. The main objective of this cell is to build entrepreneurial culture, to support student innovations, to identify entrepreneurial potential of students and transform them into start-up entrepreneurs. Vision of SPCE START UP CELL To promote new ideas, innovations and entrepreneurial culture among the faculty members and students of the institute. To convert the innovative ideas/problems to tech-solution with a feasible innovation with patent and develop a business model. About Start-Up Conclave 2019 The Start-up Conclave is organized under twining activity of TEQIP - III by SPCE Start-up Cell for Govt. Engineering College, Rewa, M.P., for promoting the start-up ecosystem within Technical Universities/Colleges. This program is specifically designed in order to provide a practical learning experience of a lifecycle of any Start-up right from the ideation stage. This program includes workshops, panel discussions, presentations on innovative case studies, start-up case studies, business models and IPRs by eminent speakers across the country.
