From the desk of Director Continuing the regular practice, once again with huge enthusiasm, we bring to you SMRITI- Volume IV, MAIMT s bi-annual News Letter. With rapidly changing corporate world, for the past couple of years, the world is in the grip of severe skills deficit. There

is no dearth of talent. The challenge is of getting talent that meets the need of corporate world; we at MAIMT take immense pride in contributing our part as the architect of creating knowledge leaders for the world. The institute offers you a wealth of resources and opportunities, a dynamic curriculum, involved and pro-active faculty and a forum to interact with the brightest minds from the corporate world and other sectors. Considering the same a number of seminars and workshops were conducted recently in order to enhance

various skills among the students. Seminar on Employability skills, carrier in insurance sector, workshop on phone gap are few in the list. Various competitive activities like Talent show and Udaan (competition fest) were also conducted in order to give an exposure to multiple talents. A 5 Days MDP in association with MSME, Karnal on E- marketing was also organized by MAIMT. We aspire to serve the changing mind set of young leaders to sparkle their innovation in corporate hence to be global leaders.

We at MAIMT believe in delivering quality education with constant improvement in the teaching pedagogy. Perhaps one of the best ways to showcase this is to look at the various workshops and development programmes conducted at MAIMT during last 6 months. With so much of passion in each and every person of the institute in what they do, I know there is nothing that can stop our institute from achieving its goals. Editor & Director

9 th August, 2012 Dr. M. L. Goel, Dean Economics Department, KUK was the hon ble speaker for the day. He said actual management is to make jobs and employment available for all. He said India is a nation whose people are well known for their worship for work. Indians are capable of doing better work in limited resources. He threw light on management education challenges in India. He motivated the students for practical trainings

during their course curriculum that can enhance their exposure to real world. 5 th September,2012 Students of MAIMT paid tribute to teacher s community.

Students presented worthy director and faculties a flower bouquet as a token of love and gratitude. Words of appreciation and honor from students were making faculties proud of their being as mentors and trainers. On this great occasion Dr. Raj Kumar, Director, MAIMT showered his blessings on students and motivated his faculty to become remarkable in this world of hard competition.

13 September,2012 To make students aware of carrier opportunities in insurance sector One day seminar was organized in the premises of MAIMT on 13 th September, 2012. Mr. Puneet Sharma, Training Area Manager, SBI Insurance, Chandigarh was the key

speaker of the day. He threw light on active opportunities for MBA final year students and motivated them to be a part of this growing sector. He guided students about health insurance, product retirement plan, child education insurance and many others. Whole event was very informative and interactive. 20 th September,2012 Today s world is the world of technology. New inventions and technologies are emerging everyday. To compete this is mandatory for everyone to keep himself updated.

One day workshop on a new technology PHONE GAP was held at MAIMT on 20 th Sept, 2012. Vani, HCL Infosystem Pvt. Ltd. delivered a detailed talk on the working and benefits of this emerging

technology. She cleared that this technology is based on HTML, Java script & CSS and applications could be used on mobiles as well as computers. 25 th September,2012 Motivating students for add on activities is must for their complete development. Focusing this MAIMT arranges a talent show event every year. This year it was held on 25 th September.

A lot of participants from MBA and MCA took interest in different events.

Students participated with complete enthusiasm in the events of their interests and made It a great success. The entire show was divided into two Categories on stage events and off Stage events.

5 th October,2012 To celebrate International Non-Violence Day this day MAIMT organized a poster making competition on the teachings of our Rashtra Pita Mahatma Gandhi Ji. He is always recognized and remembered by his non violence principles of life and the way he fought for the freedom of India with those principles.

His principles should be remembered through out the world to maintain peace globally. In order to have a long lasting impact on the minds of youth this event was organized. Many posters representing different ways of peace were made by the students. Winners of the event (Baljeet (MBA III sem) I,

Pooja Bajaj (MCA I sem) II, Naresh Chopra & Aakriti Goyal III) were honoured by the director of the institute. 10 th October,2012 For the all-round development of the students in every facet of life MAIMT keeps on organizing different programs time and again. This time a management fest was organized on 10 th of October to give students a break from their continued class room schedule.

15th October,2012 On 15 th October,2012 MAIMT has celebrated Maharaja Agarsen Jayanti. On the same day

a MDP was inaugurated in collaboration with MSME, karnal. Mr. Sanjay Nigam, Assistant Director, MSME, Karnal was their to attend the event. This MDP was a five days program on E- marketing and during this tenure various schemes of govt. that can help for the set up

small business were discussed with the candidates. Participants were given exposure to E- marketing skills that can help them to cope up with competition all around.

26 Oct,2012 & 3 Nov, 2012 Aao Twist Karen (MCA) - on 26 th Oct, 2012 and Esperanza (MBA)- on 3 rd Nov,2012 senior students of MCA& MBA arranged a wonderful and lovely party for their juniors at MAIMT premises.

Party was full of fun and frolic where the active interaction between both the groups

through different means brought them closer to each other. There were various entertaining events arranged for the welcome of new comers. A lot of fun games were carried out.

All the students danced and enjoyed a lot at the end of the day. Folk dances from various states were the main centre of attraction and appreciated by the worthy director. On the basis of their performances and involvement in party some students from freshers were recognized with special tags:

30 th Oct -3 rd Nov,2012 This 30 days program was organized in association with Govt. of India, Ministry of MSME, Development Institute, Karnal. In this program 30 candidates were selected to put onto training of tally. Knowledge, awareness and usage of such type of computerized aids can make doing business easy and time saving.

In the inaugural session Mr. L.V.S. Yadav, Deputy Director, MSME, Karnal and Mr. Sanjay Nigam, Assistant Director, MSME, Karnal were also present along with other honorable guests. 24 November,2012

Farewell party for MCA final year students was organized on 24 th Nov, 2012. Senior students always show light to their juniors on their success path. The party was full of fun and frolic. Junior students prepared a number of cultural events to say good bye to their outgoing colleagues.

Seniors enjoyed plenty of fun games specially designed for them.

They danced and shared their views with their juniors. There was a great modeling show performed by senior students.

Also the main attraction of party was the set up, which was totally a scene of traditional Indian culture and highlighted the view of an Indian village. Some students were honored for their complete contribution throughout their tenure at MAIMT.
