REPORT OF THE NCAA DIVISION I STUDENT-ATHLETE ADVISORY COMMITTEE SEPTEMBER 29-30, 2018, MEETING KEY ITEMS. 1. Review of Athletics Aid Prior to Initial Full-Time Enrollment at the Certifying Institution for the Purposes of Continuing Eligibility. The NCAA Division I Student- Athlete Advisory Committee provided feedback and was supportive of a legislative concept that would allow transfers to receive athletics aid over the summer prior to initial full-time enrollment at the certifying institution for the purposes of continuing eligibility. The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee noted the student-athletes should not be prohibited from receiving the athletics aid if the certifying institution is willing to pay for the courses. The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee also noted that this arrangement would be in the best interest of the student-athlete and would aid in the student-athlete satisfying percentage of degree requirements. 2.
