For the first Prize, the Competition starts on 17 July 2017 and closes at midnight on 15 December 2017. Prize Total No. available Value (RRP incl. To enter, entrants must during the Competition Period:
1. Register or have registered a Nature Play Passport online at www.passport.natureplay.org.au, otherwise known as the Passport Mission Control interface. 2. Select a Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) mission 3. Go outdoors, have FUN and complete the mission. 4. Go back to the online Passport Mission Control and tick your mission as completed. 5. Rate the GC2018 Mission and leave a comment online. This will automatically enter the child for whom of the Passport is registered in the draw to WIN a great Prize! Selection of Winners Prize Claim Procedure Prize Verification and Delivery Notification of Winners At Nature Play QLD s absolute discretion, Prize announcements will be published on the Nature Play QLD s website and Facebook. Both Prizes are allocated by random draw at the Nature Play QLD office in Milton, QLD. The First Prize will be drawn in the afternoon of 18 December 2017 The second Prize will be drawn in the afternoon of 5 April 2018 The prize winner must claim his or her Prize by responding to Nature Play QLD within the Prize Claim Period of 48 hours of the email notification sent by Nature Play QLD to the winner s nominated email address. If a Prize winner complies with these Terms and Conditions and Nature Play QLD verifies and accepts the entry in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, Nature Play QLD will contact the winners to arrange pick up or delivery. All winners will be announced on Nature Play QLD Facebook page and be contacted within 2 days of the draw via email. Conditions of Entry 1. These Conditions of Entry incorporate and must be read together with the Schedule for this Competition. The Schedule prevails to the extent of any inconsistency with these Conditions of Entry. Participation in the Competition constitutes acceptance of these Conditions of Entry. 2. Any capitalised terms used in these Conditions of Entry have the meaning given in the Schedule, except where stated otherwise. Eligibility 3. The entrant must:
1. Be aged 12 years old or under; 2. Be registered as per Entry Procedure to the Nature Play Passport online interface (www.passport.natureplay.org.au) through the Queensland Passport to an Amazing Childhood program; 3. Be a Queensland resident; and 4. Enter within the Competition period indicated in the Competition schedule. 3. Queensland Outdoor Recreation Federation (QORF) employees, members of the QORF management committee, members of the Nature Play QLD advisory board (and their immediate families) or of the agencies or organisations associated with the Prizes are ineligible to enter; this includes employees involved with the Embracing 2018 Commonwealth Games Legacy Program. Immediate families means spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling (whether natural or adopted by a parent), whether or not they live in the same household as the director, manger, employee, officer or contractor. Entry 4. The Competition will be conducted during the Competition Period. 5. To enter the Competition, entrants must complete the Entry Procedure during the Competition Period. 6. Entries may only be submitted in accordance with the Entry Procedure and will not be accepted by the Nature Play QLD in any other form. 7. Persons may enter the Competition once only for each Prize. 8. Entries must be received by Nature Play QLD during the Competition Period online and are deemed to have been received at the time of receipt into the Competition database and not at the time of transmission by the entrant. 9. Incomplete and ineligible entries will be deemed invalid. Entries will also be deemed invalid if they breach these Conditions of Entry as determined by Nature Play QLD in its sole discretion. 10. The entrant s legal guardian must consent with to the registration of the entrant as a Nature Play Passport holder. Social Media 11. Entrants acknowledge that the Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with any Social Media company. 12. Entrants acknowledge that any information they provide in connection with Nature Play QLD is provided to Nature Play QLD and not to social media companies. 13. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Competition will be directed to Nature Play QLD, not to the social media companies.
14. Entrants release the social media companies associated with this Competition from all liability arising in respect of the Competition. Selection of Winners 15. If a winning entry is deemed not to comply with these Conditions of Entry, the non- complying entry will be discarded and a new winner of the Prize will be selected by random draw. 16. Winners will be notified as specified in the Schedule. Nature Play QLD may also publish the name of winners on their website(s) and social media pages. By entering this Competition, each entrant requests that his or her full address not be published. Prizes 17. The Prize(s) are specified in the Prize Details. The Prize(s) are subject to any restrictions specified in the Schedule. The total prize pool is specified in the Schedule. Claiming Prizes 18. Prizes must be claimed by the winners according to the Prize Claim Procedure within the nominated Prize Claim Period as set out in the Competition Schedule. If Nature Play QLD s email notification or the winner s reply bounces, Nature Play QLD may at its discretion discard the entry and select a new winner of the Prize by random draw. 19. If a Prize is not accepted or claimed within the Prize Claim Period, the relevant winner s entry will be deemed invalid and the Nature Play QLD reserves the right to try to contact the winner via telephone or to select a new winner for unclaimed Prize by random draw. If the original winner is contacted via telephone, the winner must respond within 24 hours to Nature Play QLD to claim his / her Prize. 20. Legal guardians need to consent to the winner claiming his / her Prize and may accept on the winner s behalf. General 21. Nature Play QLD accepts no responsibility for any problems or technical malfunction of any communication network or for any late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise. Nature Play QLD has no control over telephone communications, networks or lines and accepts no responsibility for any problems associated with them, whether due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. Nature Play QLD is not liable for any consequences of user error including (without limitation) any costs incurred. 22. Nature Play QLD may, at its sole discretion, declare any or all entries made by an entrant invalid, and prohibit further participation by an entrant in this Competition, if the entrant:
a. fails to verify their personal details and/or eligibility to enter the Competition to the Nature Play QLD s satisfaction; b. tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Competition; c. submits an entry which in Nature Play QLD s opinion is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry; d. engages in conduct in entering the Competition which in Nature Play QLD s opinion is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of Nature Play QLD. This includes where entrants use multiple names or addresses to register multiple entries. 23. Entrants must comply with the Verification Requirements. Nature Play QLD may require entrants to provide these to Nature Play QLD or its agent as part of the entry verification or prize claim process. Failure to provide these to Nature Play QLD s satisfaction will result in the relevant entry being declared invalid (and, at Nature Play QLD s discretion, in all of the entrant s entries being declared invalid). 24. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other form of compensation. The value of each Prize is accurate as at the commencement of this Competition. Nature Play QLD accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of a Prize after that date. If a Prize is unavailable for any reason, Nature Play QLD may substitute it for another item of equal or higher value, subject to the approval of the Department of Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games (DTESB), if required. If a winner does not take an element of a Prize at the time stipulated by Nature Play QLD, then that element of the Prize will be forfeited by the winner and neither cash nor any other form of compensation will be supplied in lieu of that element of the Prize. Nature Play QLD accepts no other liability or responsibility for any loss incurred by a winner or any other party if any Prize (or any part of a Prize) is unavailable for any reason. 25. If requested by Nature Play QLD, the legal guardian of the winner must sign an indemnity and exclusion of liability form provided by Nature Play QLD, in favour of Nature Play QLD and all parties involved in this Competition and/or providing the Prize, before receiving ownership of the Prize. If the legal guardian does not sign that form within the time specified by Nature Play QLD, the winner will not be able to receive the Prize and the winner s claim will be deemed invalid. 26. If requested by Nature Play QLD, winners must participate in promotion surrounding their winning of a Prize, free of charge, and they consent to Nature Play QLD and DTESB using their name and image in promotional material. 27. If for any reason any aspect of this Competition does not or is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of Nature Play QLD which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Competition, Nature Play QLD may in its sole discretion
cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition, or invalidate any affected entries, subject to the approval of the relevant State authority if required. 28. Nature Play QLD s decisions in connection with the Competition are final and no correspondence will be entered into. 29. Nature Play QLD, DTESB, Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC) and its Prize sponsors associated with this Competition (including Facebook and other social media organisation) will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person s negligence) in connection with this Competition or accepting or using a Prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law). 30. Nature Play QLD, DTESB, GOLDOC and its Prize sponsors will not be liable for any damage to or delay in transit of Prizes. 31. Nature Play QLD accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the Prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought. Where the operation of this Competition results in, for GST purposes, supplies being made for non- monetary consideration, entrants agree to follow the Australian Taxation Office s stated view that where the parties are at arm s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values. 32. The information entrants provide will be used by Nature Play QLD for the purpose of conducting this Competition and may also be used for the purposes specified in the Nature Play QLD s privacy policy. 33.
