Gender and Rural Transport Initiative started in 1999, funded by the World Bank Development Grant Facility (DGF) GRTI is a project of the Africa Rural Travel and Transport Programme (RTTP) GRTI should be seen as an integral part of RTTP activities 105

HOW TO ACCESS FUNDS FROM GRTI Support for RTTP National Programmes T Only open to RTTP countries T The RTTP National Committee in the respective countries must clear submitted proposals T Funding per country is between US$ 5 000 to US$ 20 000 Support under the GRTI Technical Grant T Open to any individual, organization, government entity or country that can demonstrate creativity and innovation in addressing the gender dimension of RTT activities T maximum total grants to any single institution or country will not exceed US$ 5 000 Proposal submission Proposals should follow the format for proposals provided by GRTI Submit to the GRTI Administrative Office in Harare Technical Advisor and steering committee appraise projects 113
