WASKOM 4-H DECEMBER HAPPENINGS!!! We completed our Waskom 4-H Christmas card and it was on displayed on Hwy 59 in Marshall. Our cooking team the "Diva Dicers" had a great session with Chef Mierop. We also participated in the Waskom Christmas parade. Livestock judging practice will start after Christmas break and we are registered to go to San Antonio, Fort Worth and Houston to compete. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!!! TRINITY 4-H CLUB & RIVER CROSSING COWBOY CHURCH CLUB DECEMBER EVENTS Trinity Episcopal 4H & RCCC 4H Club s officers met on November 2 at CCs Pizza for a planning workshop. The decision was made by the officers of each club, along with the club managers, to join forces with the idea of being able to accomplish more as a larger group. The meeting time was set for the 2 nd Sunday of each month at 4:00 pm at Trinity Episcopal 4H room. Community service project ideas were discussed. The decision was made to sponsor a Christmas Store in the activity room of Marshall Manor Nursing Home on Sunday, December 10 th. The members worked hard making and gathering various gifts to make available to the residents to choose gifts to share with their loved ones. The event was a huge success with 23 4H members and family present. The Nursing home staff estimated 35-40 residents benefited from this project. The next community service project discussed was to help out at the Marshall Animal Shelter. We will be making final plans and preparation soon to execute this project. Members from both clubs assisted with a workshop on Saturday November 4, at the Extension office, designed to help prepare them for the upcoming Food Extravaganza Competition on January 6, 2018.
