During the week, students have an opportunity to attend classes in accounting and finance, personal development, and college preparation. They also tour the SMU campus, local companies, and CPA Firms. In addition to touring the corporate facilities, students meet and interact with company representatives in activities designed to provide greater insights into the nature of work done, corporate culture, and elements of success.

The Closing Luncheon occurs on the last day of ACAP Week from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm and the purpose is to recognize accomplishments of: Student participants, which include the following: Presentation of Group Project by winning team Award presentations to students and counselors based on votes of students and results of graded activities/assignments. Scholarship presentations to seniors Professional and Corporate Partners: Inspiring message designed to motivate students to continue reaching their potential Presentation of awards and acknowledgement of sponsors, contributors, and special guests from NABA National Office and Board of Directors, Western Region, and Local DFW Professional Chapter. Reflections of Highlights from the week Presentation of Awards from the DFW Professional Chapter to members who have gone above and beyond the call of volunteerism to help the chapter in its strategic goals and mission of NABA.
Consistent leadership in ACAP Administrators and Counselors over the years Average GPA of students has approximated 3.5 over the years Approximately 80% of the students have majored in Accounting or other business-related disciplines; the other 20% majored in other disciplines Two (2) Bill Gates Millennium Scholarship winners Several former students are now CPAs; others are in leadership positions in their respective companies Some students have returned as ACAP Counselors and/or have returned to participate in ACAP Week activities Some students have been instrumental in starting ACAP chapters (e.g. SMU) or assumed leadership positions in NABA chapters at their respective colleges (e.g., Wiley College, LSU, etc.) Several ACAP Alums have assumed leadership roles in their respective National Academies of Finance; several have been named as National Junior Achievement Students of the Year
