A warm thank you to Senior VP Ron Rozanski for conducting the installation ceremony, as devised by and with the help of Gaby Evans. After the installation we enjoyed a presentation by Rozina Nensey, RN, MSN, Clinical Manager of Telemetry 3G to show a bladder scanner and to discuss the importance of a blanket warmer, both purchased with funds donated by the Auxiliary. I would also like to extend a thank you to Jean Cosby and Diane Hunter, who co-chaired the Cookie Walk on May 4th. Through their efforts and those who assisted them, they raised over $600 which will go directly to patient services. Our final General Meeting for the 2015-2016 fiscal year will be held on Monday, June 27th in the Education Auditorium at 10:30 a.m. This will be our Scholarship Luncheon, and scholarships will be awarded by Barbara Hawthorne and her scholarship committee: Jennie Eliades, Dorothy Lake and Mary Newbold. Please join us for a very engaging program. In closing, although it is noted elsewhere in this issue of the newsletter, please don t forget to set aside the evening of Saturday, August 6th for attending our annual Summer Party which will be at Bill & Mary Newbold s home. See you there. Valerie Kohler PLAN TO PARTY! Please mark Saturday, August 6, 2016 on your calendar. The annual Auxiliary Summer Party begins at 6:30 PM at Bill & Mary Newbold s home. Everyone is invited - Auxiliary Members, Associate Members, Staff plus spouses, significant others, friends.. Invitations will be mailed in July, but you don t need a printed invitation. You DO need to have a reservation and that is easily done: just send in your check (payable to NHMC Auxiliary) for $35 per person! Deadline for reservations is Wednesday, July 27 and space is limited. So, make your reservations early. Details will be published in the July newsletter and in the invitation. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet and get to know volunteers on a schedule other than yours and staff from other areas of the hospital. We also want to thank Trader Joe s and Delicious Bakery for their generous donations, too. We appreciated the helping hands we had from Becky, Harriett and Helen as well as the extra help we had from Gaby and Liz. It was both a fun day and a successful one.
