The pump engine is also aging, and will need to be replaced. Vehicle requires scene lighting installed for night operations. SUMMARY OF MEETINGS ATTENDED Uintah Fire Department Personnel participated in the following meetings: Weber County Fire Officers Association Uintah City Staff Meetings City Council Meetings City Planning Commission Meeting Weber County Operations Fire Sub Committee Meeting Weber County Operations Board Meeting Weber County Fire Protocol Meeting Weber County Special Meeting on Incident Alarm Stacking and Mutual Aid Utah State Fire Marshal Association STATUS OF SIGNIFICANT ISSUES DEPARTMENT IS ADDRESSING The department is undergoing hiring process for several positions. Department is preparing to begin Firefighter I and Firefighter II Certification Training in January Through April, followed by Wildland Firefighter in May, and EMT Basic in June through August. Department is conducted the required surveys for the CDBG grant process. Chief Pope will draft the grant narrative and project budget. Department is preparing for submission the AFG grant proposal which is due early January. Department will have Firefighters Attending Winter Fire School in January. Chief Pope and Fire Marshal Osgood will be attending Utah State Fire Chiefs Meeting, and Leadership Symposium on the days preceding winter fire school. The attendees will participate in different training courses during their time at winter fire school. A complete list of all completed trainings will be provided to the council in the January report. Deputy Chief s Marz and Bybee, and remaining firefighters will be in the city for incident response during the weekend of Winter Fire School insuring adequate and qualified response personnel for this time frame.
