S E A P U T G E U M S B T E R - - 2 0 2 1 0 7 1 6 From the office of the President Dear Parents and Guardians, Where do I start! First I am very excited to be back as president and look forward to our FIFTEENTH ANNIVERSARY YEAR as TRINITY CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL. Please know that I, along with Mrs. Shipp and our entire faculty and staff, will do all we can to provide your daughters and sons with a BETTER EDUCATION BRIGHTER FUTURE. With God s help and working together we will accomplish our mission keeping our school ALIVE IN CHRIST. There has been a lot of activity going on at Trinity. Registrations are still occurring, athletic camps were held, cleaning continues, college coaches are calling as is the news media and renovations are in process. Now for some specifics in that regard. Thanks to a $50,000 gift from Mr. Bill Conley, and a $100,000 gift from Mr. Jim Kavanaugh and World Wide Technology a digital entry sign will be installed, front entrances repainted and lighted and the restrooms going to the field will be renovated. All should be finished by the time school begins on August 21. We are so very grateful to these Rosary alums for remembering their roots and helping Trinity improve our facilities. Plans for future renovations include the front restrooms, science labs, and athletic facilities. Our enrollment is projected at 330 students and as of this writing we have 324 students registered to attend. Our freshmen class should reach 100 by the time school begins. Please continue to spread the GOOD NEWS about Trinity. You are our best ambassadors. This past summer Mr. Jim Grumich, long time educator at Mercy, St. Thomas Aquinas and drama coach at Rosary and Trinity died. His passion for theatre and the inspiration he gave to his students was evident in the number of people who came to his wake and beautiful funeral. As one of his students said: His passion was obvious. He cared so much about his work...and about us kids. Thanks to his family, memorials are being made to the theatre department at Trinity. Jim Grumich will be missed, but will always be remembered since our Little Theatre was named in his honor a number of years ago. Please remember to check out our website and social media for all the latest happenings at Trinity. We are thrilled that Archbishop Robert Carlson will say the opening prayer and do the coin toss at our opening football game on Friday, August 25. Come and join us for a parent social starting at 6:00 p.m. in the courtyard sponsored by the Trinity Parents Organization/Booster Club. Surely hope the summer has been a good one. Keep cool and may the love of the Father enfold us, the wisdom of the Son enlighten us, the fire of the Spirit enflame us, and may the blessing of the Triune God rest on us and abide with us now and evermore. God s blessings, Sr. Karl Mary Winkelmann, SSND President, Trinity Catholic High School 2017 Dinner Auction The 2017 Dinner Auction is scheduled for Saturday, October 21, 2017. Mass will begin at 4:30 and dinner will be served at 6:00! All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Before September 20, single tickets are $40 and the price for a couple is $75. After September 21 tickets will cost $50 each. 2017 Lock-In Donors The Trinity Catholic High School 2017 Senior Lock-in was a huge success thanks to the generosity of many different people and organizations.
