Master Instructor Blue Ridge Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) Work with both mental health professionals and local law enforcement officers in advocating and teaching clinical mental health to law enforcement officers from Middle River Regional Jail, Augusta County, Staunton, Waynesboro Cities and surrounding jurisdictions. Provide a 40 hour certification program that is DCJS accredited for law enforcement officers. Provide a 20 hour certification program that is DCJS accredited for EOC dispatchers and 911 operators. Instruct student officers on topics such as clinical states, co-occurring diagnoses, suicide awareness, personality disorders, substance abuse, mental health/ substance use in children and adolescents, mental health civil law, intellectual disabilities/ developmental delays, multi-cultural awareness and crisis intervention techniques.
