Dinner starts at 6:00 pm. Hope everyone can come out to meet and greet him. March 14th brings nominations for all post officer positions with elections taking place at our April 11th meeting. Any and all members in good standing can be nominated and run for any office. May 7th brings the Carnival at the VA Hospital in Elsmere. During this event, the vets are brought out to enjoy the various booths set up by different organizations. We all have a good time and the veterans and staff are very thankful for this event. It gives them a break from the everyday routine. At this time I am looking for volunteers to help man our booth. We are usually there from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Page 3 1st Vice Commander Go for it now, the future is promised to no one. - Wayne Dyer Spring is in the air, even though the calendar still says it is winter..come on global warming!! The Post has been active over the last couple months, and we could still use your input and participation in our upcoming events. Participating in a monthly meeting, spring clean up at the post, the children s Easter celebration and the Memorial Day celebration at Kiwanis Park are all coming up in the next few months. Get out and get involved in your post, choose a cause or event that you feel needs your involvement and go for it. No matter what you do to help the post, it is appreciated. So take the words of Wayne Dyer to heart, for the future is promised to no one. Charles Michael 2nd Vice Commander The Children s Easter Party will be held Saturday, March 19th, at 1:00 pm. It is open to children age 10 and under. There is a signup sheet in the canteen. The cut-off date to sign up the children is March 11th. Hope to see everyone there! Rich Gavlick After a snag in reporting membership by Department and National, we are on the right track now with 90% of last years membership. It is not too late to renew and keep your benefits. God Bless Our Veterans Nancy King
