Mission & Impact Statements Mission The mission of United Way of Sumner County is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities. Background Since 1977, United Way of Sumner County has worked to improve the daily lives and future opportunities of all Sumner County residents by mobilizing the caring power of communities. In support of this mission, United Way of Sumner County seeks to help increase the organized capacity of people to care for one another.
