Community College Application North Carolina Farm Bureau R. Flake Shaw Scholarship Program The Community College Scholarship The scholarship is valued at $1,000 per year for up to two years toward an Eligibility associate's degree, provided the student continues to meet eligibility requirements. Four community college scholarships are awarded each year. The recipients will be named after May 15, 2019. Preference is given to Farm Bureau members. Please note that only information completed in this application will be considered for the scholarship selection process. Additional attachments may be reviewed but not utilized in final selection decisions. Scholarships are awarded to rising freshmen in the community college system who demonstrate: The intention to pursue a career in agriculture or in an agriculturally-related field Financial need Satisfactory grades An evident understanding of the agricultural and/or agribusiness community Leadership potential Applications Completed applications are due on or before March 4, 2019.
