MORE THAN WE CAN IMAGINE!! Debt Reduction Update as of 1/31/2019 We are so thankful to God for guiding us through the debt reduction campaign. So much team effort went into getting the campaign off the ground. One of the main efforts was the prayer team. We asked for God s guidance every step of the way. We are so thankful for all that participated in the team effort of the campaign. There is much to celebrate as we continue into the third year of More Than We Can Imagine!!!! We officially kicked off our campaign January 1, 2017. The main building loan was $828,126.51. By paying down the principal over the last couple of years, as of 1/31/2019, our building loan has a balance of $562,545.13 For 2017-2018 we have saved $3,774 in interest alone; however, the bigger news is by paying toward the principal with our debt reduction monies, it has shortened the remaining life of the loan by 33 months, placing the balance today at what it would have been in October 2021. We will have saved $101,498 in interest based on those principal payments alone as the loan continues to pay down. Also, at the beginning of the campaign, we had an add-on loan that was obtained for building repairs/upgrades gym roof leaks and flooring replacement for welcome center. That loan balance was $84,814.14. This loan was costing the church $400.50 a month. We paid this add-on loan off, which saved the church $400.50 a month. The original length of this loan was to run to 2029. Paying the loan off early saved over $13,000 in interest. As you can see, there has and continues to be a savings to the church. We would ask that you prayerfully consider continuing to pay beyond the three-year debt reduction campaign. Our reduced balance of the principal of the main building loan will continue to save interest exponentially, as well as paying the debt off faster. Just remember to indicate on your check for Debt Reduction you can also designate Debt Reduction from our online giving. We will be sending update letters to our membership that made commitments as to where you are with your pledge. We want to thank each and every one of our members for supporting the More Than We Can Imagine debt reduction campaign. If you are new to our congregation and would like to participate in this campaign, please see Cindy for a commitment card. Thanks be to God!!!! Debt Reduction Campaign Chairpersons 6
