All 5 th graders and their families are invited to the Lower Church after Mass to enjoy coffee, juice and donuts. Prayers for Our Deceased Alumni Please see the attached letter. As many of you know, we have a long-standing tradition at our school of praying for our deceased alumni. Every November, school families volunteer to be part of this tradition. We still need the help of seventeen more families! If your family is willing to make a commitment to pray for our deceased alumni on a daily basis during the month of November, please contact Mary Theresa McCombe at MTMC525@aol.com. She will provide you with a list of specific names. Class and Individual Photos Dante photographers will be at school to take individual pictures tomorrow, October 22 nd and Friday, October 23 rd for class pictures. All students (K-7) are required to be in full complete uniform for these pictures on BOTH days. For class pictures all students must be in the winter uniform. However, if you prefer the summer polo for your child s individual photo they are permitted to wear them on October 22 nd. Students who would like to receive a picture package must bring their payment envelope to the photographer. Each child must have his/her own envelope.

Moodle Mobile App The Moodle Mobile app is a way to access the Annunciation School Moodle site more easily on a mobile device such as a smartphone or a tablet. The app only works if the Moodle site is designed to allow this. As of last week, Annunciation's Moodle site is now designed to allow this, so feel free to download the app and follow the prompts to log in to your child(ren)'s Moodle account to view Moodle more easily on a mobile device. Thank you to the parents who pointed out this feature to us so that we could set it up. 8th Grade Halloween Carnival There is only ONE WEEK left till the 8th grade Halloween Carnival on Thursday, October 29th! We have received many wonderful raffle prize donations, but we can always use more. The children enjoy when the 8th graders come and deliver their winning raffle prize to their classroom! Please remember that raffle ticket requests are due by Monday, October 26th. This year 7th graders will not be able to purchase raffle tickets at the carnival because they are the last grade to visit. Wristband orders are due by October 26th! Students will not be able to purchase wristbands at the carnival. Each student will need a wristband, in order to participate in the carnival games. Halloween Carnival Details: There will be NO LUNCH /DRINKS sold the day of the carnival. ALL students MUST bring their own lunch. Wristbands are for playing of games only. Students should bring money for treats and raffles sold at the Carnival. Be sure to follow the guidelines regarding appropriate costumes. We will have a costume parade in the play yard at the conclusion of the Carnival if the weather permits. The success of the parade is dependent on your full cooperation. Parents (and grandparents) are asked to form a border around the perimeter of the play yard. Eighth Grade students will assist. You can begin lining up at 1:45PM. The students will be lead around the play yard by our eighth graders. They will process out of the school building. They will parade around the play yard and then back into school for regular dismissal. ALL students are to remain with their class. When planning COSTUMES for school please keep in mind the following: No masks. No bloody or gory costumes are allowed. No weapons. No clothing with inappropriate slogans. Please be mindful of the hemline on long costumes in order to avoid tripping. No micro/mini skirts are allowed. If your daughter s costume has a short hemline, she must wear leggings. No spaghetti strapped costumes or low cut necklines will be permitted. If your child puts hair color in his/her hair, it must be washed out by Monday. Any face paint or nail color must be removed by Monday. Fake nails that are a part of the Halloween costume must be removed by Monday. If you are not sure if a costume is appropriate for school, then it probably isn t. You will be contacted to bring your child s uniform to school if the costume is deemed inappropriate.
