Annexure - F Report on Vigilance Awareness Week - 2017 the Organisation: Indian Institute of Management Ranchi 1. Brief write up on the conducted during Vigilance Awareness Week 2017 Vigilance awareness week was observed in Indian Institute of Management Ranchi from 30th October to 4th November 2017 with the theme My Vision- Corruption Free India. The following were conducted during the week. i. Vigilance awareness week 2017 started with the display of banners at IIM Ranchi campus at Suchna Bhawan and hostel at Khelgaon Complex. ii. On the first day of the week, the faculty, staff and the students of IIM Ranchi took Integrity Pledge acknowledging their commitment to uphold the highest standards of honesty and integrity. They also took e-pledge marking their commitment to fight against corruption. iii. Vigilance awareness week coincides with the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. We observed 142nd birth anniversary of Sardar Patel on the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on 31.10.2017 at Hostel at Khelgaon. Our Director, Prof. Shailendra Singh, students and employee of IIM Ranchi along with the members of Khelgaon society had a walkathon/run for Unity and aided in spreading awareness among the public against corruption. iv. We organised Debate Competition on 01.11.2017 for the students. The topic was Observance of vigilance awareness week: does it really help in eradicating corruption? Prof, Asit Baran Mohapatra and Prof. Pradeep Kumar Bala were the judges of the event. v. We organised Elocution Competition for the students on 01.11.2017. The topic was My vision: corruption free India. Prof. Amit Sachan and Prof. Anubhav Mishra were the judges of the event. vi. A Sensitization Programme on Policies/Procedures and Preventive Vigilance was organised on 02.11.2017. Mr. Manoj Kumar, Dy. General Manager, Vigilance Department, MECON Limited was invited to conduct the programme. He deliberated on various preventive vigilance measures. vii. A lecture by Mr. Sandeep Raj, Chief Vigilance Officer, CMPDI Limited was arranged on 02.11.2017 to provide in-depth acumen on the topics.

viii. ix. Sri Pankaj Kamboj, Supdt of Police, CBI, ACB, Ranchi made a presentation on the working of CBI and means & ways to exercise vigilance and combat corruption on 03.11.2017. Our Director, Prof. Shailendra Singh presided over the concluding session of the Vigilance Awareness Week 2017 which was held on 04.11.2017. Mr. S. Malik, Additional SP, CBI Ranchi was the chief guest for the concluding session. Certificates were distributed to the winners of various competitions. 2.
