Scholarship Opportunity One $500 scholarship is being awarded by The Secretariat in honor of Kathryn G. Hansen. Ms. Hansen was one of the founding members of the State Universities Civil Service System, and The Secretariat, an organization composed of employees in civil service classifications with qualifications that meet or exceed those of Office Support Associate. The scholarship is to be used for tuition, books, or other related educational expenses at any university within the State of Illinois. See Student Services for eligibility. Student of the Month CONGRATULATIONS NOUR ABDALLAH FEBRUARY STUDENT OF THE MONTH Mrs. Pfeifer nominated Nour for Student of the Month for the following reasons: Nour has put in hours upon hours for the Revive assemble and for promoting the actual club itself. Out of the goodness of her heart, she made awesome videos to promote Revive, and is even putting in extra time to complete a mural that is sure to give 2E even more street cred. Nour has been enthusiastic and has selflessly used her talents to promote a club that will improve school climate. She has shown great leadership this semester to help get our new club off the ground.
Health Career Scholarship 2019 Illinois Hospital Research & Educational Foundation Scholarship applications are available to graduating Seniors pursuing a health related career. Students must have a 3.5 GPA or higher and must submit two letters of reference and a profile sheet. Please pick up an application in Student Services. Scholarship deadline is April 15, 2019.

Girls Soccer Girls soccer will start on February 25th. We will meet at Eastside and practice from 3:15 to 5:00.
Baseball Varsity baseball tryouts: Mon. Feb. 25 at 5:00 a.m. in the main gym. Tue. Feb. 26 and Wed. Feb. 27 after school in the small gym. Freshmen/Sophomore tryouts: Sat. March 2 at 8:00 a.m. Mon. March 4 and Tue. March 5 at 5:30 p.m. all in the main gym.
Gold Cards All athletes planning to play a spring sport need to get a gold card from Mr. Moore outside of the cafeteria during lunch or in the athletic office. You must have a gold card to play a spring sport.

SAT Practice Test Saturday, Feb 23, is Official SAT Practice Test Day for the March 9 SAT. Taking a full practice test is key to building the experience and endurance you'll need to do well on your real test. Official SAT Practice will help you get ready! Research shows using Official SAT Practice for six to eight hours is associated with an average 90-point increase from the PSAT/NMSQT to the SAT 30 points higher than the average for students who don t use Official SAT Practice.
Bob Quarello Memorial Scholarship Any seniors planning to pursue a degree in a law enforcement or related professional curriculum are eligible to apply. Applications are available in Student Services. Scholarship winners will be awarded a minimum of $500.00, depending on availability of funding. Accuplacer Test Tuesday, March 12, 2019 ICC will be here to administer the Accuplacer Test to Seniors planning to go to ICC after graduation. The Accuplacer is a mandatory test used to place students in their English and Math courses at ICC. In order to take the Accuplacer you must be registered with ICC and have your ICC ID number. Registration can be completed online at: http://icc.edu/apply/ Students must have an email address and know their Social Security number to apply. This must be done at least 3 days prior to testing.
Boys Tennis Boys Tennis begins Monday, February 25 th. Please make sure you have your yellow cards completed and filled out by first practice. Practice will be at the high school on Monday. Make sure you change for practice and then meet in the cafeteria. If you haven't decided what Spring sport you are going to play, we would love to have you join us.
Student Parking Students are reminded that parking in the spaces marked for CO-OP, which are clearly marked with signs and the spaces are painted red, can and will result in these vehicles being ticketed and possibly towed. Students authorized to park in theses spaces will have parking tags that clearly state CO-OP on them in red letters.
